Harrison’s expression was placid as he nodded to Logan by the door. Logan immediately made the call.
A moment later, however, he reported back. The restaurant prided itself on privacy and had no security cameras. Furthermore, no one else had been around to witness the fall. Besides Anastasia and Susan, no one knew what had really happened.
Anastasia smiled, unsurprised. She had known this would be the case even before Logan made the call.
Clearly, Susan had chosen the location with great care.
Harrison glanced at the young woman beside him.

Hearing her say that, Harrison knew she had it all figured out.
His Ana was usually a homebody. Besides her work at the Global Harmony Medical Institute, visiting the Austins, or dropping by his office, the only thing that could coax her out was an occasional shopping trip with Juliet. Marcus and Barnett had tried to get her to hang out several times, but she could never be bothered to say yes.
So why would Susan be granted such a rare privilege? Only if Anastasia had her own agenda.
So while Susan was gloating, thinking she had finally trapped Anastasia, the truth was likely that Anastasia had been in control of the situation from the very beginning.
Unhurried, Harrison helped Lady Lancaster to a chair and poured the old woman a glass of water.

“Because you despise this child, of course!” Susan cast a fearful glance at Harrison, tears streaming down her face. “I know you all hate me because I broke up Ryan’s family. You hate me for stealing his heart You wanted to kill my child to make Harrison happy p>
The motive was certainly plausible. Everyone knew how much Anastasia adored Harrison. Susan had not only broken up Ryan and Marina’s
marriage, fracturing Harrison family, but was now pregnant. It wasn’t completely out of the
question that Anastasia might harm. Susan’s baby to please Harrison p>
For a moment, even Lady Lancaster hesitated.
