Chapter 162
Chapter 162:
Eventually, the youngest son, Healy, took over. He was a hopeless case—a slob who dressed like a rascal and knew only how to eat, drink, and play. The financial giant fell into shambles.
With the Lopez family’s strong belief in gender equality, Annot was granted some shares in Royal Garden Corporation.
Bart, Annot’s second son, had no interest in joining the family business and thus had worked at Royal Garden Corporation his whole life.
Annot was ambitious, to be sure, but…
She lacked managerial experience and had no success in the company, so she gave Bart her shares.
Bart was the polar opposite of his two brothers.
He was the classic two-faced, sly, and crafty individual. In the past, he had overseen various overseas branches for Royal Garden Corporation.
This time, the board of directors had summoned him back.
The reason was obvious to Milton.
Because of Milton’s recent actions, the board no longer trusted him.
They wanted to make Bart vice president of Royal Garden Corporation to limit Milton’s influence.
The blue veins on Milton’s hands stood out as he clenched them into fists.
These seasoned veterans knew that Milton and Bart had a contentious history.
Yet, they still proceeded.
At that moment, Bart approached Milton and said, “Long time no see, cousin,” feigning a cheerful demeanor.
Milton frowned.
He had been trying to be patient with everyone present.
Bart bowed politely to the others.
“For your support, I am grateful. To the best of my ability, I will strive to create a better environment for you all.”

To Milton, Bart’s words sounded pompous.
Milton stood and said, “I’ve said everything I needed to say. You can continue the meeting if you want.”
Without another word, he left.
Bart wore a mischievous grin as he watched Milton’s receding figure.
“Milton, I’m finally back. It’s only a matter of time now! I’ll show you what it’s like to have everything taken away!” he told himself.
His nails nearly dug into his palms as he clenched his fists tightly.
“After all these years, I’ve finally found your Achilles’ heel!”
It was already four in the afternoon when Candice finished her work and returned to Hope Law Firm.
As soon as she saw Candice, Bettina hurried over.
“Candice, I heard Madilyn was publicly fired today and that Royal Garden Corporation bought over half the shares of the ballet troupe. Is that true?”
