Chapter 566
Chapter 566:
Candice pulled away awkwardly, somehow feeling embarrassed with Greyson touching her in front of Milton.
Greyson noticed Candice’s discomfort and frowned. He realized that she was uncomfortable with physical contact with him in front of Milton. It made him feel uneasy.
“I’m fine. You can leave now, both of you,” Candice said coldly, glancing at both of them.
Milton was left speechless.
Greyson was the unwelcome guest. Why should he leave too?
Greyson shot him a glance. “You go first, I have something important to discuss with Candice. I’ll leave afterward.”
Milton sneered in response. “I doubt it’s anything I can’t listen to.”
Greyson, too, was left speechless.
In fact, Greyson initially wanted to tell Candice that Madilyn had orchestrated the incident when Candice caught him and Madilyn together the other night. But Candice didn’t seem to care much about it. He knew that no matter what he said, he couldn’t undo his mistake.
Yet, he still wanted to stress that he had no intention of being involved with Madilyn.
Clearly, Candice didn’t want to hear anything about Greyson. She casually remarked, “I have nothing to talk about with you. Mr. Harman, you must be very busy right now. Don’t you need to check up on your patients? What if there’s an emergency?”
With a cold expression, Greyson understood that she didn’t want to listen to his explanation.
Candice turned to Milton and said, “And you, the Lopez family has many businesses. Don’t you have to attend to them? You’d better leave now.”
Milton’s eyes narrowed slightly in response to the strong sarcasm, but he didn’t speak.

Just then, Greyson’s phone suddenly rang.
He glanced at the number and frowned. It was an urgent call from the hospital.
He had to answer it.
Upon answering, he heard an anxious voice on the other end of the line. A patient was experiencing severe heart failure, and since the cardiologist was away on a business trip, Greyson had to personally attend to the rescue.
Observing the seriousness on Greyson’s face, Candice urged, “Since there’s an urgent matter at the hospital, you should leave now.”
Greyson had no choice. He carefully looked at Candice and said, “Your face looks pale, and your symptoms haven’t fully subsided. Continue taking the prescribed medicine. If you run out of it, I’ll have someone bring more. I have something urgent to attend to. I’m leaving now. I’ll call you later so we can talk.”
Candice remained silent.
Greyson grabbed his bag and coat, turned around, and hurriedly left.
After Greyson left, there were only two people left in the villa: Candice and Milton.
