Chapter 405
Chapter 405:
He followed the officer to the interrogation room, where Madilyn spotted him from behind the fence and hurriedly reached out.
“Rey, I can’t bear being here. If you bail me out, I can explain everything. You have to trust me. I really can explain!”
Madilyn’s once impeccable appearance was now disheveled; her hair was messy and her makeup smudged. Greyson barely recognized her.
“Rey, I was forced into doing those things. You know how much I love you. You promised to marry me. You can’t go back on your word. I did it all for you… Please bail me out. Don’t leave me here,” she pleaded.
Greyson stared at her intently, scrutinizing her every movement, his tone chillingly calm.
“Madilyn, you know why I indulged you for so long. Almost a decade ago in Overshow, you came to my rescue, and I’ve been grateful ever since. But tell me, have you remained the same Madilyn I once knew? I’m deeply disappointed in you. To be honest, I might never have truly known who you are.”
Disappointment was etched across Greyson’s face as he spoke. “I won’t bail you out. Stay here and accept the punishment you deserve. Whether you are sued or sentenced, I will not interfere. Your future has nothing to do with me.”
With that, he turned and walked away, ignoring Madilyn.
She gripped the fence tightly and cried out desperately, trying to catch his attention.
“Rey, you can’t abandon me!” she pleaded, shocked and heartbroken at his cold and ruthless demeanor. She couldn’t accept that she had failed.
She refused to reconcile with the truth.
As Greyson walked away, she yelled, “Greyson, you will regret this! Can’t you see that Candice doesn’t love you anymore? She’s already taken a fancy to someone else. No one loves you like I do!”
After a brief pause, she continued, “Greyson! Even if you leave me, you can’t be with Candice. You can’t compete with Milton. Candice has already fallen in love with him! Don’t be foolish. She doesn’t love you anymore! Don’t you understand?”

Greyson stopped in his tracks, his handsome face suddenly turning cold.
Madilyn’s words struck a nerve. Despite his efforts to control his emotions, his fists clenched and his hands trembled. Taking a deep breath, he left the interrogation room without looking back, ignoring her desperate cries.
Back in the police station hall, Greyson said, “I would like to bail Rachel out.”
The policeman was surprised by Greyson’s decision but soon understood that Rachel, being the elder and a high-ranking family member, deserved some leniency.
“Okay, please follow me.”
The policeman led Greyson to the office for bail.
Greyson signed the documents and immediately transferred 20 million dollars via his mobile phone. Then he left the police station.
Despite Rachel being his elder, this was not the reason Greyson bailed her out. Considering the severity of her actions, Rachel should return to the Harman family and face the consequences.
