“I must buy this house. How much do I have to pay you to convince you to sell it to me?” Despite her reluctance, she raised her voice.
“According to the blueprint, this area could be developed into a villa complex. Keeping the house intact wouldn’t affect the plan whatsoever. I need this house,” Candice stubbornly insisted.
Milton took a step closer, stretched out his long finger, and gently lifted her chin. “Give me a valid reason to change the plan for you. Huh?”
As soon as he raised his voice, Candice found it surprisingly sexy. “This house used to be my home!” She bit her lip and emphasized each word clearly.
“So?” Milton smiled. In fact, he already knew she was the house’s former owner. That was why he bought the land surrounding it. The villa’s current owner refused to sell it, so he had to buy all the surrounding land to isolate the house. Additionally, the owner was finally willing to sell due to the increased land price.

“Ha ha!” Milton rarely smiled like that. “Without my consent, what bank do you think will approve your loan request? Huh?”
Biting her lip, Candice answered furiously, “I’ll borrow the money!”
Milton’s eyes suddenly shifted from mocking to icy. Borrow money? From whom? From Greyson?
He reached out, grabbed her arm, and pulled her close to his chest, leaving almost no gap between them. He stared at her with deep eyes. From his expression, he was furious.
Marlin and Aiken felt embarrassed. Milton and Candice were nearly hugging each other by the door. The two agents couldn’t leave the room even if they wanted to.
