Chapter 709
Chapter 709:
Not only had she vanquished the wicked and salvaged Warren Building Materials ostensibly, but she had also simultaneously benefited Royal Garden Corporation. She had showcased her abilities brilliantly.
Regrettably, her actions weren’t intended for his benefit. Frustrated, he took out a cigarette, ignited it, and inhaled deeply.
Just then, Brooks’ voice echoed from the office. “Mr. Harman, a lady from the Olson family is at the door, requesting to see you.”
Why would someone from the Olson family want to see him?
Greyson squinted, deep in thought. The Olson family, he recalled, had moved overseas several years ago, flourishing significantly abroad. Their fame was undeniable. In the golden era of the Harman family, the two families had crossed paths, but the bond had faded over time. Now, a lady from the Olson family was seeking him out? Who could it be? What was her agenda?
Greyson stubbed out the smoldering cigarette wedged between his slender fingers and retreated from the balcony back into his office.
At this point, Sigrid was patiently waiting in his office. She was dressed in a chic, luxurious black suit, and a broad-brimmed black veil hat concealed most of her features. White gloves graced her hands, and a Himalayan crocodile leather handbag swung at her side, the epitome of an affluent lady.
Brooks covertly sized up Sigrid, dumbfounded. This woman, of high lineage, indeed possessed a formidable presence and extraordinary demeanor.
Greyson advanced, stopping a few paces away from Sigrid. With an air of nonchalance, he spoke, “Miss Olson? If memory serves me right, the Harman family and the Olson family haven’t been in touch.”
Sigrid studied Greyson, surprise creeping in. He appeared even more captivating, composed, and impenetrable than she had gauged from a distance or the photographs she had seen. His expression was enigmatic.
Her instincts told her that this man was a mystery.
A twinge of envy crept in. Candice surely was a magnet, wasn’t she? She didn’t desire this exceptional man before her, but Milton. Candice had indeed stirred up a storm for her. Damn it.

“Our paths may not have crossed earlier, but they have now.” Sigrid’s words lacked courtesy as she extended her business card.
The two of them stood at a standoff.
But Greyson showed no inclination to accept her business card. He was utterly indifferent to the woman standing before him.
Sigrid’s outstretched arm hung in the air, and a fleeting wave of awkwardness washed over her.
Was Greyson subtly rejecting her? A wave of humiliation engulfed her.
At that moment, Brooks, Greyson’s special assistant, quickly approached and accepted Sigrid’s business card before handing it to his boss.
With a hint of urgency, he winked at Greyson. “Mr. Harman, you’re in the presence of Miss Sigrid Olson, the design director of Royal Garden Corporation…”
