Chapter 414
Chapter 414:
Greyson still remembered what had happened that year. He was in his third year of high school when he was kidnapped and taken to Overshow. The kidnappers threatened his grandfather to force the mortgage of Harmony Hospital to the Universe Financial Group.
He recalled being unconscious throughout the ordeal and waking up already in the hospital.
The first person he saw when he opened his eyes was Madilyn, standing by his side, waiting for him to regain consciousness.
According to her, she had called the police as soon as she realized he had been kidnapped. After the police rescued him, they rushed him to the hospital for treatment.
Since then, he had kept her in his heart and made a promise to marry her in the future.
He had a deep impression of the young nurse who took such good care of him and comforted him throughout his hospital stay.
So when he met the nurse again many years later, he transferred her to Harmony Hospital as the current head nurse. It was his way of repaying her kindness.
“Mr. Harman? Mr. Harman?” Letitia called out, noticing Greyson was lost in thought.
Greyson quickly snapped back to reality and asked to confirm what he had just heard. “Are you sure? Was Candice really the one who saved me in Overshow? Not Madilyn? I remember clearly that when I woke up, she was beside me.”
Letitia, who had been working at Harmony Hospital for some time, knew who Madilyn was.
She shook her head and replied, “No, it was Candice. I remember that day clearly. She came into the hospital carrying a big, rectangular backpack, looking very pitiful. Her clothes seemed scratched by thorns, and her face was dirty. I saw several open wounds on her arms, so I asked if she needed us to bandage them. She refused and insisted we tend to you instead. She also told us not to mention her name to you when you woke up. At the time, I didn’t think much of it. Anyway, the police sent you to the hospital, and she came with you. She was the one who called the police. After ensuring you were safe, she left.”

Letitia glanced at Greyson and said in surprise, “I thought she was afraid of ruining her image in front of you since her clothes were all tattered. I assumed she went back to change before visiting you again. I didn’t expect her to keep it from you for so many years.”
Greyson was speechless from shock. He felt a numbing sensation spread throughout his body, and his mind seemed to shut down.
Everything he thought he knew and trusted had been overturned.
Even his ego wavered. He had misunderstood Candice for more than three years. He had been wrong about her from the beginning!
He was completely wrong! Completely wrong!
“Oh, right. Now that you’ve mentioned Madilyn, I remember her coming to the hospital too. You were in a coma when you arrived at the hospital. When Madilyn came, she said she was your relative, so we let her in to take care of you,” Letitia recounted in detail, recalling the scene.
