Chapter 616
Chapter 616:
“Absolutely, Mr. Lopez,” the driver promptly responded. Milton gently tugged Candice, and together, they stepped into the sample villa.
As they entered during the daytime, they sensed something peculiar. The walls displayed a variety of suggestive scenes, each with remarkable clarity. Mirrors surrounded them from all sides and even above their heads.
A wave of unease washed over Milton. Despite his steely resolve, it was hard to remain unaffected.
“Damn Corless! What a deviant.”
Meanwhile, Candice was single-minded in her search for clues. She traversed the house, up and down, scanning every corner. However, she didn’t discover anything.
Milton voiced his concerns. “Could it be possible that there’s no evidence here? If there was, Corless would surely have returned to eradicate it. But he fled last night.”
Candice, her chin cradled in her hands, pondered a moment before questioning, “If there was no evidence, what compelled him to come here alone yesterday? Given the crucial times, it would be logical to maintain discretion. That leaves us with another possibility. The evidence is cunningly concealed. Corless believed I wouldn’t uncover it.”
Candice let out a snort and muttered, “I must have overlooked something…”
As Candice became lost in her thoughts, Milton stood by and let her contemplate in silence.
With her head slightly lowered, Candice paced back and forth. Her long hair swayed gently, brushing against her ear. At times, she would cradle her chin in her hands. At other times, she rubbed her temples. Lost in contemplation, she absentmindedly nibbled on her fingers.
Observing her deep in concentration, Milton found himself gradually captivated; especially when he noticed her biting her fingers. His mind wandered in a whimsical and unpredictable manner.

Damn it! What was he thinking? He was getting carried away by the ambiguous atmosphere around them.
Swiftly, he averted his gaze and reorganized his thoughts.
Suddenly, Candice’s eyes lit up as an idea struck her. She exclaimed with excitement, “Do you have any paper and pens? I’ve come up with an idea.”
Milton turned around and headed towards the door. He asked the driver for some paper and a pen, which he then handed to Candice.
She spread the paper on the floor and began to sketch. “I went upstairs twice earlier. There are five rooms upstairs, corridors, hallways, and platforms. I estimate it’s about four hundred square meters in area.”
She sketched the layout of the second floor.
Milton furrowed his brow and inquired, “And then?”
Candice continued drawing, this time focusing on the first floor. “But look, there are only two rooms on the first floor. Although the living room is spacious, and there’s also a foyer, a kitchen, and a dining room, can it really cover an area of four hundred square meters?”
