Chapter 936
Chapter 942:
It came as an unexpected shock to everyone present. Both Catherine and the makeup artist stood there, stunned, unable to comprehend what had just transpired.
The makeup artist felt guilty. “I’m sorry, Miss Blake, it’s all my fault. I should have been more careful.”
Candice, having regained her composure, gently reassured the artist, “No, it’s not your fault. I didn’t handle it well.”
“Let me tend to your injury,” Catherine said with a determined expression, firmly pressing Candice’s fingers to stop the bleeding. She then inquired, “Do you have a medical kit in your house?”
“Yes,” Candice replied, her voice calm yet tinged with urgency. She pointed towards the living room cabinet and instructed, “It’s over there. Open the white door, and you’ll find it on the second shelf.” The makeup artist hurried to retrieve the box.
Meanwhile, Catherine attentively tended to Candice’s wound, her gaze briefly shifting towards the stained dress.
“Miss Blake, please wait a moment,” Catherine interjected softly. “I’ll take care of the skirt. Don’t worry about it.”
With delicate precision, Catherine applied a professional detergent to the bloodstain and carefully removed it, using a small hair dryer to expedite the drying process. She then skillfully ironed the affected area. Though the dress appeared well-restored, Catherine knew it was far from flawless. Nevertheless, it was the best outcome she could achieve given the circumstances.
The makeup artist glanced at her watch and announced, “It’s time for us to go.”
Candice nodded, gracefully lifted her dress, and walked out.
Today, Jarrod awaited Candice’s arrival at the door, standing next to an extended Bentley.

After a brief interval, they arrived at the exclusive high-end club, Harewia, where the evening’s engagement party would take place. The club, owned by the esteemed Royal Garden Corporation, remained off-limits to the public. It served as a venue for private gatherings of the Lopez family and as a distinguished setting for hosting notable guests, including foreign royalty, nobility, and top-tier VIPs.
The entire structure appeared to float majestically in the center of a pristine body of water. A gracefully arched porch bridge connected the gate to the main building, enhancing the venue’s allure.
As night fell, vibrant lights danced beneath the lake’s surface, their colorful reflections rippling with each gentle breeze. The enchanting spectacle resembled a terrestrial paradise.
Meanwhile, in the banquet hall, Candice made her entrance, while Catherine and the makeup artist patiently awaited backstage.
They had arrived early, and the majority of the guests had yet to make their presence known.
