Chapter 314
Chapter 314:
“Mr. Lopez, please, take it easy,” Musa pleaded, growing increasingly anxious. He had only intended for the game to be a fun bonding experience, but it seemed that Greyson and Milton’s relationship was far from amicable. Musa began to doubt his own judgment.
“Before you decide, at least take a look at your cards,” Musa continued to persuade Milton. If Milton lost his expensive watch, the news would surely spread throughout the industry, and Musa would feel responsible and guilty.
But Milton simply waved his hand dismissively, tossing the watch into a pile of chips. “It doesn’t matter. If I don’t take risks, the game won’t end.”
“Haha. Milton, you’ve always been so arrogant. You think you can control everything and get whatever you want, just like you did in school. I don’t like it.”
Greyson sneered and took the lead, revealing his cards before slamming them onto the table. Shocked gasps resounded around the table.
“Oh my God! They really are three aces. You can’t get four of a kind on the table. Looks like Mr. Harman’s got this one in the bag.”
“Wow, Mr. Harman, you’re really having a lucky night.”
“Congratulations, Mr. Harman.”
“Don’t worry, Mr. Lopez, you can turn the tables in the next round,” a bystander comforted Milton.
“I’m done for the night. One has to stop at the right time, right?” Greyson chuckled, clearly pleased with himself. “And take your watch back. I don’t need it.”
“Hold up.” Milton gestured for him to sit. “You should at least see my cards before you go.”
Greyson halted but didn’t turn around.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Milton slowly revealed his cards. He hadn’t even seen them himself.
As soon as the cards were flipped, the first person to see them screamed. Then the others who saw them next also reacted excitedly.

“Oh my God! How could this be happening? Am I dreaming?”
“This is incredible! I can’t believe it!”
“This is the first time I’ve witnessed such a game. It’s awesome!”
“You are so lucky, Mr. Lopez!”
Hearing the comments all around, Greyson stiffened. Only one outcome would evoke that kind of commotion.
How could this be happening?
He turned around and looked at the table.
Milton’s trump card was the two of hearts. The other two cards were a two and a three.
It was the smallest hand in Texas hold ’em poker.
But there were an ace, a four, and a five in the community cards.
It turned out to be a straight.
