Trying to find something more interesting to watch, Candice changed the channel to an agricultural program about growing pitaya in a greenhouse. She hoped it would be more engaging. Unfortunately, the show was so dull that Candice ended up dozing off on the sofa.
After finishing his work, Milton glanced at Candice and saw that she had fallen asleep beside him.
He shut his laptop and walked toward her.
He gently nudged her shoulder, but she seemed to be in a deep sleep. It didn’t look like she would wake up anytime soon.
Milton bent down and carried her in his arms. She was so light and soft it was as if he were holding a feather. He frowned, thinking she looked thinner than the last time he held her. She must have been neglecting her health lately.
He carried her to the master bedroom and laid her down on the bed.
Her long black hair spread across the white pillow. She wore his shirt with the top two buttons undone, revealing her crystal-clear skin and alluring collarbone.
Her bare legs were so pale they seemed almost surreal to look at. She was like a precious painting—people would start daydreaming just by gazing at her.
Milton took a deep breath and looked away, afraid he would lose control.
His eyes gradually fell on her wrist. She must have taken off the wristband when she showered. At that moment, the jade bracelet on her wrist looked so delicate, as if it had been made specifically for her.
The longer Milton looked at her, the more aroused he felt.
He felt the urge to consume her completely.
However, he had used a lot of energy playing golf that afternoon. Besides, he hadn’t eaten much during dinner.

Candice tried to wake herself up by forcing her eyes open.
Suddenly, a deep voice sounded beside her. “Who is it?”
Startled, she woke up instantly. When she turned around, she found Milton sleeping beside her. Her legs were even resting on top of his. No wonder she had felt comfortable.
