Chapter 846
Chapter 849:
Candice pursed her lips and didn’t respond.
“Well, you’re wrong. Right now, I only care about you.” With those words, he didn’t hold back his love for her.
Candice was stunned. For a moment, she could only stare at him. His persistence shocked her. She didn’t know how to respond. To some extent, Greyson was similar to her.
“Hey, you’re here to make your statement, not to confess your love,” Officer Aston reminded them.
“Oh, I’m sorry…” Candice smiled awkwardly.
Officer Aston continued to ask a few more questions.
Greyson answered them all honestly. Since the purchase of Centilength Biotech Company was still in the negotiation phase, he hadn’t intended to make it public. But because of the situation, Greyson couldn’t keep it under wraps.
“Since the deaths of the two co-founders, the company must be in chaos. I’m not going to stop the purchase. I hope the police understand. Of course, I won’t interfere with the investigation. You have my word.”
Officer Aston was a little surprised. Although he didn’t know much about business, he understood the basic principles.
“Principal Harman, you’re still inclined to buy the company, even after knowing the co-founders were murdered? Didn’t you just say you would lose money?”
Greyson smiled and said, “You don’t have to worry about that.”
He then turned and gazed at Candice. “Once I buy it, I’ll change the name back to its original one.”
Candice was a bit annoyed and said, “Whatever.”
As they were talking, a young policeman entered, holding an evidence bag. Inside it was a blood-stained piece of paper. “Sir, this phone list was recovered from the crime scene. The timestamp is from three years ago. Everyone found it strange, so I thought I should show it to you.”

Officer Aston took the bag to examine it closely.
As the evidence bag changed hands, Candice glanced at it.
“Wait! Can I see that?” She was stunned to find a familiar number.
Officer Aston frowned. “No. This is confidential.”
“I think I saw my mother’s phone number. Officer Aston, Grady and Benson used to work for my mother. So this concerns me as well.” Candice pointed out.
Officer Aston hesitated for a moment before passing the blood-stained material to Candice.
Candice took a quick look, and her eyes widened. “This is my mother’s call log from the day she had the accident three years ago. I tried to get this information back then, but they told me her number had been canceled and there were no records. I never expected that Grady and Benson had the call records all along. It means they were watching my mother’s movements and contacts back then.”
Candice’s suspicion grew stronger that Grady and Benson were somehow involved in her parents’ deaths.
