Chapter 651
Chapter 651:
Milton was finishing up with a stack of paperwork, responding to an international email.
Noticing Candice’s sulky expression, he saw her cheeks puffed out in annoyance, which made him chuckle.
He accepted the self-reflection letter she handed him and began reading it. Pleased, he folded it neatly and slid it into his shirt pocket.
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll go to work,” Candice said, turning around, ready to leave.
Milton grabbed her hand, surprising her. “Hold on. Could you assist me with an anonymous survey? It’ll take just three minutes.”
He swiveled his computer toward her, unveiling the web link.
Candice skimmed the page. “Royal Garden Corporation Customer Satisfaction Survey Questionnaire. Why do you need me to do this?”
Milton clarified, “It’s a system check. We only need two responses. I’ve done mine, and now it’s your turn. Just go with the flow and fill in anything. This is new software our team developed. Rest assured, all data entered remains private. Even I won’t be able to access it. It’s merely a test site. Once the system is updated, all data will vanish.”
“Alright.” Candice had no doubts about it.
Without further questions, she began filling out the survey. Some questions felt uncomfortably personal, making her furrow her brows in slight discomfort. Yet, in under three minutes, she had submitted her response. She handed it back to Milton.
“I’m done. I’ll be heading back upstairs to work. Don’t bother inviting me for dinner. If I get hungry, I’ll come down and grab something.” She dashed off.
She had spent an inordinate amount of time crafting her self-reflection letter that day, and there was still a mountain of documents she had yet to organize.
As Candice departed, Milton’s gaze shifted to his laptop, a myriad of emotions reflecting in his eyes.

He navigated to the previous page, entering the administrator’s password.
What unfolded before him was Candice’s completed questionnaire.
In reality, this wasn’t a test page. To put it bluntly, he had deceived her. He could see all the details she had provided.
Though he had casually told her to fill it out, he knew that as a lawyer, she would approach it with professional diligence.
He examined each word carefully.
The initial questions were fairly generic.
The person you admire most: mother.
Your favorite color: purple.
Your preferred season: summer.
Peaceful or bustling surroundings: peaceful.
Among love, friendship, and family affection, which is most important? Family affection.
