Chapter 390
Chapter 390:
“Don’t… Don’t talk nonsense.”
Alisson laughed at Rachel’s shock. “Nonsense?” She delivered the final blow. “Didn’t you know? The whole banquet hall heard the conversation you had with your niece through the speaker system. It was like a live broadcast of the Harman family drama!”
Alisson then turned to Greyson with a sneer.
They were business rivals.
“Greyson, you may be great at work, but it looks like you can’t handle your family affairs. You don’t even know what goes on at your own home. It’s a pity your good wife was kicked out by your stepmother,” she gloated.
Greyson’s handsome face turned dark, but he pursed his lips and remained silent.
Rachel desperately struggled to speak. “We were just joking… We didn’t do anything. Who has evidence?”
“Joking?” Alisson sneered, shaking her phone. “I recorded your entire conversation. Someone else did too. And I’ve already called the police. You still have the nerve to deny it? You can only pray that the police believe you. Oh, look, here they are now.”
Alisson pointed behind her with a smug look on her face.
Rachel felt her legs give out at the sight of the police and collapsed to the floor, unconscious.
Madilyn was scared out of her wits when she saw several policemen walking toward them.
Seeing that Rachel had fainted, she clung to Greyson and cried hysterically, “Rey, I don’t want to be taken away by the police. I’m really not the one who planned this. I was just following my aunt’s instructions. You know me best. I’m not that kind of person. Rey, please trust me…”
Unfortunately for Madilyn, the police officers were already in front of them before she could run.
“Is your name Madilyn Reilly?” the leading police officer asked harshly.

Madilyn was too scared to speak.
However, Alisson, standing beside them, caught a glimpse of Madilyn’s driver’s license that had fallen from her bag and shouted excitedly, “It’s her! It’s her! Look, this is her driver’s license.” She quickly picked it up and handed it to the police officer.
“And that is Rachel Harman,” Alisson added, pointing at the woman lying unconscious.
She then went over and kicked Rachel hard while saying, “Get up quickly.”
The leading policeman handcuffed Madilyn and said sternly, “Someone reported that you are involved in planning an assault. Please come with us to assist in the investigation. You have the right to remain silent and to hire a lawyer.”
Madilyn was dragged away to the police car. She kept looking back at Greyson, shaking her head desperately as she wailed, “Rey, I’m innocent. I was just following my aunt’s instructions. She made me do it. She’s been using me to gain more power in the Harman family. Please help me. For the sake of our childhood, please help me.”
