Chapter 968
Chapter 974:
“Sue me?” With a subtle smile, Greyson shifted slightly to reveal Candice. “The top-notch lawyer is right behind me. Do you think you can defeat me? Do you possess any evidence to implicate me in this matter? You’ve received three hundred million dollars and aspired to amass a fortune through investments. You were gullible, yet you attempt to shift blame onto others? It’s so ridiculous.”
It was only then that Rachel noticed Candice in the ward. Her eyes blazed with anger; adversaries destined to clash. Had Candice not exposed her past, she would have ended up like this. She attributed all of her woes to Candice.
In an unexpected turn, Rachel broke free from the security guards and lunged at Candice, hurling curses. “Bitch! You instigated him to do this, didn’t you? I’ll kill you! You’ll meet a gruesome fate, you bitch!”
Candice frowned. Rachel, a frenzied woman, always indiscriminately pointed fingers at her.
Just as Rachel was about to reach Candice, Greyson swiftly kicked her away. “Security guard, remove this deranged woman. She’s disrupted hospital order and threatened others. Hand her over to the police.” Greyson’s ruthlessness knew no bounds.
Rachel spat out a mouthful of blood, paralyzed on the floor, unable to move.
Greyson glared down at her. “If you dare to touch her again, I will kill you. I warn you, from now on, get out of Ploville and never come back again. I may consider transferring some monthly living expenses to your account. Otherwise…”
He leaned down, drawing close to Rachel’s ear. “Don’t assume I lack means. You’d better figure out a way to die. I’m a man of my word.”
Rachel looked at him in sheer horror, her face contorted. Greyson had become a formidable force, entirely different from before. She realized she could no longer act with impunity towards him.
He truly intended to end her, a threat she could discern in his eyes. Rachel was too terrified to utter a word. She had no choice but to be forcibly removed by the security guards.
The ward fell into an eerie silence once more.

As Rachel was forcibly escorted away by the security guards, Greyson inhaled deeply, regaining his composure. He turned to confront Candice. At that moment, he wished he could eliminate Rachel with his own hands, considering the irreparable damage she had caused to his life.
Candice continued to methodically pack her belongings, as if the recent events had left no mark on her.
Paradoxically, her indifference only served to disconcert Greyson further.
If he couldn’t retain her this time, he feared he might never be able to hold onto her again.
“Candice, I’m sorry for what happened just now. It’s entirely my team’s fault that Rachel managed to breach our security,” Greyson explained sincerely.
“You don’t have to apologize to me. This is your family business,” Candice simply shrugged, an air of nonchalance about her.
Even if Rachel had just hurled insults her way and suspected her of deceit, Candice remained unfazed, utterly indifferent.
