Chapter 794
Chapter 794:
Without missing a beat, Milton responded, “Good, please do so.”
Erica started to leave, then paused and turned back abruptly. She shot a hard glance at Milton and clarified, “I want to make sure you understand my earlier statement. I’m not worried about you. It’s her I’m concerned about. She seems fragile. You need to practice restraint.”
Milton and Candice were both at a loss for words.
Once Erica had spoken her piece, she left. Without Milton’s approval, Jarrod was not allowed to approach the room within a ten-meter radius. As soon as Jarrod saw Erica exiting, he…
Respectfully escorted out, Milton then shut the room door. After everyone had departed, he proceeded to the dining area to grab some food. Then, he returned to the bedroom.
By then, Candice had managed to sit upright. She had changed into a night robe but was still wrapped in a blanket.
She had attempted to stand earlier, but it was to no avail. Frustrated, Candice bit her lower lip and glared at the man before her. While Milton seemed unbothered, she was in pain.
Placing the meal on the bedside table, Milton suggested, “Eat something. Aren’t you famished?”
In between deep breaths, Candice retorted, “I’m full of anger. I don’t need to eat.”
A smile graced Milton’s lips. “Really? Should I remove the food then?” Pretending to reach for the plate, Milton was thwarted as Candice swiftly seized it from his grasp. She asserted, “Leave it. I suppose I could eat a little.”
With those words, Candice grabbed a sandwich and hastily consumed it.
In reality, she was ravenous. Her earlier statement had been made in a moment of annoyance. Candice devoured the food quickly and soon finished her meal. It had been a while since she had eaten in bed, and she blamed the detestable man in front of her.

Milton watched her casually, then took a napkin and gently dabbed it against her lips.
His gaze settled on her slender neck, adorned with a unique necklace he had personally placed on her. Intertwined with the necklace were several red marks. The striking contrast made him inhale sharply, compelling him to reach out and touch it.
Candice shuddered subtly under his touch. This necklace, called the Shackle of Love, couldn’t be removed without its key. She was forced to wear it constantly. Just like the necklace, she felt ensnared by Milton’s invisible shackles.
Suddenly, Milton whispered into her ear, “Eat up and gather your energy. Let’s do it again, okay?”
Caught off guard, Candice was at a loss.
