Chapter 956
Chapter 962:
Upon reaching the resuscitation room, Greyson carefully transferred Candice onto the bed.
In a swift move, a doctor administered the required medications. Yet, the ECG monitor painted a grim picture. Her blood pressure and heartbeat continued to plummet.
Milton was consumed by anxiety, the weight of his concern heavy on his shoulders. He felt a mix of uncertainty and fear for what lay ahead. Even as the doctors fought valiantly to save her, he struggled to believe it was real.
All of a sudden, a long, piercing sound filled the air.
The monitor displayed that Candice’s heartbeat had ceased. He stared, eyes wide, at the flat line on the screen. His mind went blank, a deafening buzz filling his ears. Then, it was as if the blood vessels in his head ruptured, every fiber of his being trembling. A bone-chilling cold settled over him.
He couldn’t accept that Candice’s heart had stopped.
Could she really be gone?
She died so easily? She died in front of him?
It turned out that it was difficult for people to react in the face of death. Milton was extremely weak as he leaned against the wall. He couldn’t move or think straight.
He was in a state of shock, but his heart was filled with indignation. He really wanted to shout and ask them to save her, but he couldn’t bring out his voice.
He never thought he could be so helpless.
Meanwhile, Greyson was almost desperate when he saw the flat line on the screen.
Noticing Greyson’s desperation, another emergency doctor took over and continued pumping Candice’s chest in his place.
“Don’t stop! Don’t give up!” he shouted at Greyson, trying to bring him back to his senses.
When Greyson snapped back to reality, he quickly brought over the defibrillator.

With every shock, Candice’s delicate body jolted, and this happened again and again.
They repeated it several times.
After a long time had passed, the doctors and nurses in the room were exhausted.
Everyone thought there would be no miracle. Suddenly, Candice’s heart started beating again.
She was alive!
The doctor was so tired that he almost collapsed on the ground.
Milton looked up in joy. However, the joy made him even weaker.
That was great. There was still hope for her.
Greyson also calmed down but was still sweating profusely. “Prepare for the operation. I also need a cardiac examination during the operation. Prepare the blood,” he ordered systematically.
Just then, a nurse asked, “What’s her blood type?”
