Chapter 106
Chapter 106:
Thereafter, Milton called the police department’s upper management.
“Officer Hamilton, I want you to issue warnings for minor cases of internet harassment and arrest warrants for more serious offenses. If anyone refuses to retract such remarks, Royal Garden Corporation will sue them immediately. I’m not interested in seeing any more nasty comments.”
He then ended the call.
Today, Candice saw the reality of Milton’s character clearly. She had always thought he relied solely on his great fortune. She was surprised by his stress resistance and charisma on the job.
He faced problems without flinching and resolved them coolly and methodically. His competence was beyond anything she had imagined. He came from an aristocratic family—destined for greatness and the pinnacle of authority, a true king.
Milton looked toward Candice and saw her staring at him. A grin spread across his face.
Overwhelmed, Candice quickly averted her gaze in embarrassment.
It was six o’clock.
Around that time, Raul was reading headlines online. “The trending hashtags about us have been removed, and comments have been disabled, Milton. I just called the reception desk and was told all the press have left.”
He wiped the sweat from his brow and slumped into his chair. “It’s finally fixed!”
Milton was fluently speaking another language on the phone. “The European stock market has opened and is stable. No abnormalities. Have no fear. I hope our collaboration goes well.”
After finishing the call, he patted Raul on the back and said, “Get the hell out of here. This is my seat.”
Raul protested, “I’ve been worried about this since five in the morning. I haven’t eaten anything yet. What’s wrong with taking a break here?”
Milton sat at a desk corner and remarked, “All problems have been resolved. The stock price has steadily risen again. Feel free to go home for the night.”
Throughout their conversation, Milton’s attention remained on Candice.

Raul seemed to finally understand. Did Milton consider him a third wheel and want him gone?
Damn! That woman was more important than him?!
Raul finally got to his feet grudgingly.
Disheartened, he walked up to Candice and said, “I have to go now, Candy. You should be patient in your talk. Don’t fight!”
Raul wished for nothing more than a quiet existence.
Nonetheless, it seemed like Candice and Milton had a hard time getting along. They both were a pain in the ass.
For Raul, it was an inconvenience to have to deal with them!
Candice didn’t reply.
Raul sighed, turned around, and left the office.
