“From what I can tell, Musa must know his way around the building industry since his whole family works in it. Nonetheless, he shows his stubbornness by habitually crossing his arms across his chest when speaking. The fact that he is taking such precautions indicates that he is very watchful. He looks generally healthy, but the backs of his hands are pale, suggesting that he often uses disinfectant to clean them. Watch him closely. Both of his hands have been shaking, and he keeps checking the time. His illness, if it exists, is probably very severe and kept under the radar. A person in this condition is emotionally unstable and prone to causing problems.”
Candice scoffed. “As for Braylen, his eye bags are sagging, and the eye grounds are blue, which don’t accord with his age. The slackness in his muscles suggests he doesn’t exercise often. He obviously spends a lot of time engaging in sexual activity with females. He smells of two or three distinct fragrances. It is clear that he has met a few different ladies today. See the lipstick mark on the collar of his shirt. In what way could someone like that be productive? Also, he has a habit of raising his eyebrows whenever he talks, implying that he is always condescending to those around him. Whenever he lies, he purses his lips and his voice abruptly rises. On the other hand, as Lambert speaks, he always leans against the table. People like him tend to have conservative views. The habit of putting his hands into his pockets is second nature to him. This demonstrates confidence in oneself. To all appearances, he is able to tell right from wrong and does not seem to ever act rashly. Take note of the fresh scrape on the side of his shoe and the white dirt stain in the bottom right corner of his suit. It is obvious that he has dropped by the construction site on his way to the club. This kind of person is more serious and trustworthy.”
Candice finished her analysis and gave Milton a faint grin. The effect that grin had on him was instantaneous and extraordinary—she was exhibiting traits of self-reliance, pride, beauty, and charm. He could not resist focusing his attention on Candice.
“I am surprised that you are this good,” he expressed his appreciation in heartfelt words.
Candice pursed her lips and said nothing.
Being able to read people’s body language and interpret their expressions was a must for every successful lawyer. Otherwise, she would have no way of knowing whether a person was speaking the truth or lying, which makes falling into traps simple.

“All right, I see your point. I will work with Lambert from Far East International Trade Company on this project.” As Milton spoke, he set down the proposals he was holding. It looked like he’d already made up his mind. Lambert, still unaware of the situation, stepped over to offer a toast.
Soon after, Braylen and Musa arrived. Milton took up a glass of red wine out of courtesy, lifted his head, and gulped it down.
Braylen presented a wine glass to Candice, saying, “Candy, you haven’t had any wine. At the very least, now that you’re here, you owe Mr. Lopez some respect. Just one glass. How about that?” Braylen clearly mentioned Milton on purpose.
Candice hesitantly accepted the glass. She felt dizzy from the deep purple wine.
Bettina usually handled the law firm’s social events for Candice. She glanced at Milton, but he seemingly had no intention of assisting her.
Anyway, a glass of wine was nothing to a guy, right? Not drinking would imply she didn’t respect them. So Candice decided to take the plunge.
She drained the glass of wine. An unusual flavor was present—it wasn’t just regular red wine; it was a blend of several different types of robust imported wines.
Braylen shot Candice a menacing look. Apparently, he had deliberately made a potent wine blend for her to drink, intending she would embarrass herself in front of Milton by becoming drunk and acting irrationally afterward. Braylen was interested in her future performance.
After dinner was over, Milton told the three men to leave.
Candice also needed to get out of there, but as she stood up, she felt lightheaded.
All she saw was a man swaying in front of her.
