After a brief pause, she added,
“As for Annot, Jordy’s eldest daughter, she originally held a decent number of shares. But when she married into the Glyn family, she traded a portion of those shares for the Universe Financial Group’s.”

Group declined, and her husband died young, causing her significant loss. It’s no wonder Annot is angry. As far as I know, her younger son, Healy, took over the Universe Financial Group. “My schemes seem insignificant compared to Auntie’s.”
Erica remained calm. She smiled and said,

She repeated Annot’s words back at her, unshaken.
Bettina cheered quietly and couldn’t help but clap softly under the table.
“Mrs. Lopez is amazing. Treat others the way they treat you. I thought she was a mild-tempered woman, but I didn’t expect her to be this shrewd,” Bettina whispered to Candice.
Candice smiled. She had already witnessed this side of Erica during the ambassador’s wife’s birthday party. She still remembered how Erica had defended her by putting Rachel and Madilyn in their place.
“Erica, don’t be so arrogant!” Annot snapped.
“You’ve been in charge of the Royal Garden Corporation for so many years because you hold company shares. But don’t forget, both men and women have the right to inherit. And why is it always your son who gets to be the company’s chairman?”
Her last remark was clearly directed at Milton.
