Chapter 634
Chapter 634:
“Thank you,” Candice responded, her voice steady. “This is just what I needed. The nature of Corless’ case underwent a significant shift, now encompassing criminal charges. I plan to present compelling evidence in court and push for Corless’s arrest. Simultaneously, I need to help Belinda clear her charges and secure her release from detention.”
After a brief pause, her voice turned cold. “When it’s all said and done, Corless will face multiple charges. He deserves to be behind bars. This scumbag has caused harm to numerous women.”
Mona nodded in agreement. “I’ve been following the case. Corless’ actions are beyond deplorable. But remember, you need to be cautious. Mr. Lopez’s advice was right. It is crucial that you avoid taking any risks until Corless is apprehended. You shouldn’t be seen.”
Candice was aware that Milton’s statement held truth, yet by doing so, she found herself growing closer to him with each passing moment.
With a comforting pat on Candice’s shoulder, Mona said, “If I’d known how complicated this case would get, I’d have taken it on for you. Promise me you’ll prioritize your safety, okay, Candice?”
“Okay. I’m sorry for worrying you.” Candice nodded again, more firmly this time. “I appreciate your concern. I’ll take care of myself.”
“I’ll get going now. We’ll have a grand celebration when you pull off a win.” After uttering those words, Mona waved her hand and departed.
Candice sank into the sofa.
She held the crucial evidence.
Now, all she needed was to tread carefully.
Thirty minutes had passed.
Candice had packed up heavy stacks of documents. The assistant lawyer and the receptionist assisted her in lugging them down the stairs.
As she reached the entrance, a Bentley was already in place for her.

Jarrod quickly stepped forward to help transfer the items into the trunk.
Inside the back seat, Milton was seated, his flawless, handsome profile visible through the lowered window. His slender legs supported a laptop, and he was engrossed in a video call. Upon noticing Candice, he offered her a casual glance.
Candice climbed into the car, taking her place next to him. Subsequently, Jarrod got the car moving, taking them toward the Blake family’s mansion.
“Jarrod, once we’re at the mansion, head to my place and fetch my everyday items. I’ll be residing at her place for the time being,” Milton commanded, not lifting his gaze.
“Understood, Mr. Lopez. Can you specify what items you need?” Jarrod sought clarification.
“I’d need at least twenty outfits, not including sleepwear. The attire should be complemented with coats, formal shoes, ties, belts, and cufflinks. Ensure there are at least forty pairs of cuffs and twenty wristwatches. Additionally, bring my personal grooming items, hair mask, hair gel, shaver, shaving cream, bath towels, and slippers. I also require my own quilts, so pack at least five sets of bed linens…”
