Chapter 102
Chapter 102:
Milton began approaching her again.
“What the hell do you want from me, Milton Lopez?” she snarled, no longer bothering to hide the fury burning inside her.
Since learning Milton was the man from her wedding night, she had decided there was no point in calling him “Mr. Lopez” respectfully.
“Divorce him and marry me,” Milton said, emphasizing each word.
“So what? So you can save the stock price of Royal Garden Corporation? So you can save your image?” Candice sneered. She had clearly heard this suggestion from his public relations team outside the meeting room.
“And what if I refuse?” she challenged through gritted teeth.
Milton curled his lips into a smile and replied, “Then I suppose I’ll just make you watch what I can do.”
He moved closer and closer to her until he pressed her down onto the sofa.
They were dangerously close now, but she kept her guard up.
“What are you doing?” she asked in a trembling voice.
“What I couldn’t finish earlier.”
Before Candice could say anything, Milton clasped the back of her neck with one hand and lowered his head…
Thrown off, Candice quickly turned her head away from Milton. “Don’t go overboard with this!”
As she protested, he stopped and didn’t insist.
She was so afraid of arousing this creepy pervert that she tried her best not to breathe heavily.
She implored sternly, “Get off me! If this happens again, I won’t let you go!”
His previous courtroom kiss had caught her completely off guard. This time, she couldn’t just let him do whatever he pleased.
Yet in reality, she lacked the strength to fight back. Her face was drenched with Milton’s hot breath.
“It already happened again, didn’t it?”
Step into a new journey on Ficon
If he disregarded their very first kiss in high school, this was supposed to be the third.
“What are you saying?” Candice probably hadn’t seen enough of this unbelievable guy.
“Really? You can’t recall anything from that drunken night?”
While speaking, he reached out and held her chin to get her attention.
Her breath caught in her throat. It wasn’t a dream after all. That night, she had given him a genuine kiss.
She was still sleeping in his bed the next morning when she awoke.
He dropped his voice and said, “You don’t remember? Do you want me to jog your memory or something? I assure you, this time, you won’t forget it.”
In the midst of his statement, Candice’s phone rang.
