Chapter 751
Chapter 751:
His voice, colder than the harshest winter, sliced through the air. “I cannot simply let it go. I will not.”
Greyson pivoted towards Bettina and continued, “Your ties with Candice run deep. Relay a message to her for me. I will take her back by all means in my life. I won’t give up, regardless of how long it takes. Whether it’s one or two years, or even ten years, I will make it up to her. She waited for me for ten years, and now I intend to repay that time. I will vindicate her misguided choice.”
Upon uttering those words, Greyson strolled down the long corridor leading to the hospital hall, not once glancing back.
As she gazed upon his icy silhouette, a shiver pierced Bettina’s heart.
His obsession was frightening, as was everyone else’s.
She was the root of the chaos. She was the one who had ensnared Candice in this calamity. She had introduced Bart into the equation, setting everything off course. She had wounded herself, the Reeves family, Candice, and indirectly, Greyson. All the chaos traced back to her.
How was she to confront Candice now?
Engulfed by this thought, Bettina hid her face in her hands, burdened with remorse. What should she do?
Raul returned with breakfast and found Bettina anxiously scratching her head. He approached her with concern and asked, “What’s wrong? Why don’t you come inside?”
Scanning the area, Raul didn’t spot Greyson and queried, “Where is Greyson? Did he leave? Did you two have a fight?”
But then it dawned on him that they were at Greyson’s hospital, so Greyson likely hadn’t gone anywhere. Something must have happened a moment ago.
Bettina angrily raised her head. “It’s none of your business.” Raul was left speechless.
Bettina had a really bad temper. How could it have nothing to do with him? Attempting to placate her, Raul said patiently, “Okay, okay, you’re right. Let’s go inside.”

Before entering the room, Bettina took a deep breath to calm herself. When she opened the door, a smile appeared on her face. “Candice, I’m here.” Raul felt a sense of dejection as he watched Bettina. It seemed that she always put on a facade of happiness and pleasantness in front of others while secretly licking her wounds.
Hearing the sound, Candice turned around. After their kiss, she had been leaning against Milton, remaining silent in an attempt to cool down. Spotting Bettina, Candice quickly sat up and asked, “Did the police contact you? How did you find out I was here?”
“How dare you say that? Why didn’t you tell me about such a significant incident?” Bettina scolded as she approached. “I always told you not to act alone. But you never listened. If you had come to sing with us last night, this wouldn’t have happened.”
Candice cleared her throat and replied, “What’s done is done. Besides, even if I went to sing, someone wouldn’t have allowed me.” As she spoke, Candice froze because Milton pinched her.
