Chapter 924
Chapter 929:
Erica didn’t want Sigrid to worsen the situation, and she was even more concerned about Annot’s potential interference that could create trouble for Arlo. So, she reassured Sigrid, “I’ll…”.
“Handle it. Please, let’s keep this a secret. I don’t want any gossip.” Upon achieving her objective, Sigrid nodded eagerly.
Wearing a smile, she escorted Erica into the lounge, easing her down onto the sofa. Feigning concern, she massaged Erica’s temples, suggesting, “Erica, after all that’s happened, you must realize that I adore Milton the most. I genuinely care for him.”
She added, “Besides, we hail from an aristocratic family with a rich heritage and substantial wealth. You’re aware of it. A woman of my standing is an ideal match for your son. My joining your family would greatly benefit the Royal Garden Corporation. The business would thrive further. Isn’t that an enticing proposition? On the other hand, Candice was born into mediocrity. She and her mother are mere opportunists, dependent on men. Such individuals would only tarnish your family name. Mrs. Lopez, you’re always rational and perceptive. You can’t compromise on Milton’s marriage.”
Arching an eyebrow, Erica surveyed Sigrid, her expression inscrutable. To appease Sigrid, Erica vaguely hinted, “Our family is grappling with some challenges at present. Let’s not add to it. I’ll ponder over your proposition once we overcome these hurdles.” At this, Sigrid was elated.
Erica’s compliance had brought her a step closer to Milton.
Feeling a headache set in, Erica groaned, “Sigrid, I’m unwell. If there’s nothing pressing, you may leave. I know what to do.”
Sigrid responded, “Alright. Then I’ll take my leave for now.”
On a serene Tuesday afternoon, Catherine and her diligent subordinates toiled tirelessly through the night to bring the dress to life. The Royal Garden Corporation had generously allocated an entire floor for their creative endeavors, providing a luxurious design space complete with a sophisticated fitting room.
As the clock struck five, Candice’s phone rang, summoning her to the design studio on the eighteenth floor of the main building.

She finished the rest of her work within fifteen minutes. She meticulously gathered her belongings, powered down her computer, and neatly arranged the necessary documents in her bag. With purpose in her stride, Candice exited her office, walked through the aerial walkway, and reached the elevators. In no time, she arrived at the eighteenth floor.
Upon stepping into the design studio, Candice found herself astounded by the cutting-edge equipment and meticulous organization that surrounded her. This space differed greatly from the conventional office area, resembling instead a grand wedding dress design company. Spotting Candice’s arrival, Catherine emerged from the depths of the studio, extending a warm and gracious welcome.
“Apologies for the delay,” Candice expressed with a touch of remorse.
“It doesn’t matter. We just made a few minor adjustments to the size. You’ve arrived at the perfect time,” Catherine replied respectfully.
She asked Candice to take a seat on the sofa.
The attentive staff promptly served her coffee.
