Knowing he had little chance against Milton, he chose Candice as his target.
Milton noticed this at the same moment and turned to look.
A hooligan took advantage of Milton’s distraction and struck him in the chest, causing him to groan.
Meanwhile, the bald man swung the knife toward Candice’s back.
Milton’s eyes turned ice cold. He rushed forward and pushed her aside without hesitation.
Though he saved Candice, it was too late to avoid the attack himself—the knife grazed his arm.
Anxiety surged as Candice saw the cut on Milton’s arm caused by the bald man.
Seizing the moment, the bald man pulled out a spray can and aimed it at Candice.
Milton pushed her farther away to protect her.
He didn’t know what the bald man was spraying, but after inhaling a lot of it, he felt a sting in his eyes. Though it wasn’t enough to knock him out quickly, it affected him.
Despite this, Milton sprang up, trapped the bald man under one leg, and forced him to the ground once again.
The car park alarm went off at that exact moment.
Maybe someone had noticed them arguing in the parking lot and decided to intervene.
Security personnel from Watery Aroma arrived shortly after.
Seeing this, the goons on the ground scattered.
Milton moved swiftly, grabbing Candice by the wrist and pulling her toward his car.
Today, he was driving his blue Bugatti Veyron.
“Get in the car.” He covered his arm and pressed the car lock. The doors of the top-of-the-line sports car gently opened, resembling a pair of wings. It was simple yet exuded luxury.
Milton waved his hand and tossed Candice the car key, saying, “You drive us to my place.”

Candice noticed that Milton had been cut by a long knife. However, the lighting wasn’t bright enough for her to gauge how severe the injury to his arm really was. She could only make out the dark red blood dripping onto his fingers. Her voice tightened with concern as she asked, “How are you? Is your arm okay? Shouldn’t you see a doctor?”
“No. Thanks for asking.” Milton shook his head firmly. He could feel the sticky warmth of his palm, and though he thought a little blood was oozing from his arm, it didn’t seem too bad.
Candice decided she should drive him home since he was hurt. The sooner they left, the less likely it was that the thugs would return or call for reinforcements.
Without hesitation, she climbed into the driver’s seat.
Candice started the car and pressed the pedal, but a wave of dizziness hit her. She struggled to concentrate as her whole body, even her hands, began to shake.
