Chapter 240
Chapter 240:
She discarded everything that might spoil before she left. When the clock struck five, the moving company staff arrived precisely on time.
It was a top-notch service. A team of five workers arrived with their own packing supplies.
They efficiently packed all her belongings into boxes and loaded them onto the truck. Once they arrived at Candice’s new apartment, they unloaded everything and even helped organize her belongings in their proper places.
Candice didn’t have to lift a finger throughout the entire process.
They arrived at the Jenry Building with the moving truck. Her new home was on the 36th floor.
The building was designed with only two apartments per floor, each featuring two living rooms and three bedrooms, ensuring maximum privacy.
The moving staff were quick and efficient, assisting Candice in organizing her belongings in her new apartment.
“Miss Blake, we’ll place all your clothes for now in the master bedroom wardrobe. For your winter clothes, should we put them in the secondary bedroom wardrobe?” asked one of the movers.
“Sure,” Candice replied, pitching in by moving her clothes and neatly placing them in the wardrobes.
She made sure to keep her shoes dry by placing them in the decontaminating shoe cabinet by the door.
She then headed to the study, where she carefully set up her computer and all the materials she needed for daily work.
The building was high-end and featured advanced equipment and facilities, making it the perfect place for someone like Candice to call home.
With minimal luggage, she had everything settled before seven o’clock.
The staff even went above and beyond by cleaning the entire apartment.
Bettina had taken care of the moving company bill, and once the five staff members left, Candice stood at the door, staring blankly down the corridor for a while.

Although it was a strange place and Candice initially felt a little uncomfortable, she couldn’t deny that it felt good not to be manipulated by anyone.
She let out a deep sigh of relief.
Then she pulled out her phone and dialed Bettina’s number.
“What do you think? Are you satisfied with the apartment? My brother specially selected it for you. There are only two apartments on the floor. I heard there is a large public terrace where you can relax and enjoy the view of the bustling streets,” Bettina said excitedly.
“It’s nice, but it’s too big. I don’t need three bedrooms. Two bedrooms and one living room are enough,” Candice replied with a smile.
“I live alone in a villa. An apartment with three bedrooms and two living rooms isn’t big. Maybe I’ll stay there occasionally too. Ha-ha. Actually, I have plans tonight. How about I come over to celebrate your move another time?” Bettina suggested.
