Chapter 664
Chapter 664:
He no longer had a reason to keep staying at her place.
When he heard this, Milton’s hand, which was maneuvering the steering wheel, stilled. As they reached their destination, he steered the car into the underground parking lot of the Japanese restaurant.
“Moving out after dinner, at this late hour? How could you ask me to do that?” he responded after he had parked the car in the garage.
He turned to face her, his deep-set eyes meeting hers.
“Are you planning to cast me aside after I’ve helped you?” Candice was left at a loss for words.
She bit her lip. It seemed like she had made a mistake. It was rather harsh to ask him to move out at such a late hour. As she was about to speak, Milton added, “Besides, I have something to attend to tonight.”
“What? What other plans do you have tonight?” Candice was left puzzled.
Milton’s alluring, slender lips curled into a smile. “Shouldn’t you be tending to my desires?”
“Now you’ve lost me.” She was clueless. What was he desiring? What kind of desires could he possibly harbor?
Milton gestured towards her forehead, his annoyance evident. “You ungrateful woman. I’ve held back for countless days.” It was only when he mentioned his restraint that Candice finally grasped his meaning.
Suddenly, a blush spread from her cheeks to her ears.
That was his intention!
She had misinterpreted him on several occasions when he wasn’t implying that, leading to her own embarrassment. Now, when he was indeed hinting at it, she failed to catch it. How could he utter such things so bluntly in front of her? Was this a warning sign to subtly tell her that he planned to sleep with her tonight?
She was so mortified that she didn’t know how to respond. Instinctively, her fingers tightened around her collar. She gazed at him defensively, her lips pursed and her eyebrows furrowed, an image of defiance.

Milton was so direct. The thought of returning home with him at night terrified her.
But if she didn’t go back, where would she go? Returning would imply consent.
Could she reject him now? She dared not provoke his wrath. Then, could she deny him once they were back? It was even a dream. How could she evade him then?
How could a man like him warn her beforehand? To phrase it more harshly, it was almost like forcing her!
Milton chuckled at her bashfulness.
He pressed a button on the control panel, and the barriers between the driver’s seat and the passenger’s seat automatically retracted, creating a path to the back seat.
“Go change your attire. This is my private garage. No one else will intrude.”
“Okay.”
With a sudden grasp of her collar, Candice hurriedly made her way to the rear seat.
She rummaged through a brown bag placed on the seat, revealing a dark dress, matching stockings, and even black sheepskin shoes. The luxurious black sheepskin shoes promised a delightful sensation of comfort.
