Candice cocked her eyebrow and glanced at Healy. “Mr. Glyn, two billion dollars is involved. That makes it a serious crime.”
“What the hell! So what if I falsified it? Do you remember who is paying you?” Healy snapped without thinking. That meant more than ten years in prison! Honestly, he had no idea it would be this serious.
“You… you have violated professional ethics,” he angrily accused Candice. “I’m going to file a complaint against you and ruin your career in the legal sector!”
Candice pulled another document from her bag and handed it to Healy, smiling the entire time. “My apologies. I did not sign the contract with you. I don’t see how I could trust someone who falsifies contracts enough to sign one. As a professional, it is against my principles. I must first verify my client to ensure it’s safe to sign a contract with them.”
Brooks couldn’t help but applaud. Healy was completely caught off guard.
Greyson noted, “Mr. Glyn, since there is no such condition in the contract, you should return Harmony Hospital to me for the previously agreed sum.”
“Hold on,” Candice interjected again.
“Mr. Harman, you seem to have trouble with numbers. Did you struggle with arithmetic in school?”
Candice gave him a mocking look and continued, “Regarding the mortgage contract, there is a restriction on how interest and compound interest are calculated.” She then handed Brooks a sheet with her calculations.
“According to the country’s guidelines, even if you have a private agreement, any amount exceeding the limit is void under the law. You are not required to pay one billion dollars. The correct figure is six hundred fifty-eight million nine hundred thirty-seven thousand.”
With a grin, she turned to Greyson and said, “If you think you have too much money, you can always donate to a good cause, Mr. Harman.”
Then, addressing Healy directly, she said, “The contract is ready because I anticipated this outcome. To avoid accusations of contract fraud, Mr. Glyn, you should sign this contract immediately and collect the six hundred fifty-eight million nine hundred thirty-seven thousand dollars that is rightfully yours. And with that, we can conclude today’s business. Also, I forgot to mention — all of this has been recorded and simultaneously submitted to Hope Law Firm.” She pointed to her phone as she spoke.
Healy was cornered! After all, he had essentially admitted his crime moments before.

Once Candice saw both parties had signed, she felt a calm sense of satisfaction.

However, the sound of shattering glass stopped her. Healy had smashed the glass he was holding and threw the shard toward Candice.
