Chapter 84:
Candice then walked toward the elevator.
With her sprained ankle, her gait was a little awkward. Greyson reached out to help her, but Candice quickly stepped away.
“I’m much better now. I can walk on my own.”
Greyson clenched his fists behind his back. He had just seen her come down with Milton’s help. Was she refusing his?
He couldn’t quite explain how he felt, but his chest tightened.
After entering the apartment, Candice went straight to the bathroom. She wiped her feet with a towel and put on her slippers.
Her foot was swollen and it really hurt. She took an ice pack from the fridge, walked to the sofa with it, and placed it on her ankle.
Greyson took a spray from a medicine box in the living room and handed it to her. “This will help more.”
Last time, he had made sure to prepare all the commonly used medicines for typical cases.
Candice took the spray without looking at it and put it on the table. She planned to use it after the cold compress.
“Greyson, what brings you here? Is there some event I need to attend with you?” she asked, still focused on her injury. Why was he staying silent instead of just telling her why he came?
She sighed and added, “I won’t have time this weekend. But I can go with you next weekend. And you don’t have to come here in person. Just message me before the event starts.”
To her, there was only one explanation for Greyson’s presence—he needed a favor from her.
When he still didn’t say anything, she continued, “Oh, and Mona McCoy will act as the legal counselor for Harmony Hospital. She specializes in this field, whereas I don’t really know much about medical disputes. I won’t be much help if I take the job.”
Greyson sat on the sofa and finally said, “I don’t have any events to attend these days.” Then he stared intently at her. “You still haven’t answered me. Where were you tonight?”
Candice finally looked up at him and said, “I went to Wilmint High School. Bettina is on a business trip and asked me to present a gift to the honorary principal for her.”
She had nothing to hide.

“And you met Milton there?” he asked in a low, cold tone.
“Yeah.” She didn’t deny it.
Something suddenly crossed her mind. She looked at him questioningly. “He also graduated from Wilmint High School in 2016. Were you in the same class?”
“We were,” Greyson replied bluntly.
Candice was indeed surprised to hear this. What a coincidence.
Milton and Greyson were really classmates?
“I see.” She nodded.
“Candice…” Greyson walked up to her, took the ice pack from her hand, and threw it on the table.
“It’s already past the time for you to use ice packs. They only work for half an hour after a sprain. Use this instead.” He picked up the spray and applied it to her sprained ankle.
Then, he started massaging it.
“I can do it myself.” Candice frowned and said sarcastically, “How can I bother you, Dr. Harman?”
“If you don’t massage it properly, it will only get worse. If you want to be able to walk tomorrow, just let me do it.” He squatted in front of her and worked on her ankle.
Greyson was a professional doctor.
As he continued, a cool and soothing feeling swept over Candice’s body.
“Candice,” he called softly. “My company has been doing very well recently. We got a huge investment from Dr. Wilson, and we also regained control of Harmony Hospital.”
He paused and looked into her eyes before continuing, “Once the new medicine hits the market, Harman Pharma will finally return to its prime.”
Candice was a little lost for words. What was all this information for?
“Oh? Well, congratulations in advance.”
She knew that once a biotech company developed, it expanded very fast. In less than a year, Greyson would become a big shot in all of Ploville.
She took back her ankle and said, “I’m feeling much better now.”
“Thank you.”
Greyson’s expression darkened. He wasn’t exactly pleased with her attitude.
