Milton’s eyes darkened as he responded unhappily, “If you don’t like them, just throw them away.”
Candice furrowed her brow, took out her phone, and transferred twenty thousand dollars to him.
She knew she owed him far more than just a pair of shoes, but today hadn’t been her best day. She just wanted to settle this and move on.
She didn’t want to owe him anything.
“Is that enough? If not, I can transfer more,” Candice asked, aware that Milton’s taste was usually expensive.
Milton’s expression turned sour, and he immediately refused the transfer.
The twenty thousand dollars were returned to Candice immediately.
“You’re my personal attorney, and dealing with my problems is part of your job,” Milton said firmly. “I need legal consultation now.”
He used work as an excuse to talk to Candice and stepped forward to hold her wrist.

But Candice quickly evaded his grasp, not wanting to get into any car again.
“As for being your personal attorney, I am unilaterally breaking our contract and will pay you compensation. If you have any objections, you can complain to the Law Association.”
