He was wearing a navy blue suit that fit him like a glove, making him look even dreamier.
Bettina almost screamed. “Wow, he looks so handsome.” She shook Candice hard and whispered in her ear, “You should’ve worn your navy blue dress. It perfectly matches his suit. What do you say you go back and change again?”
Candice rolled her eyes at Bettina and said, “No, I’m not going to change again. Who says we have to wear matching clothes? Forget it.”
However, after glancing at what Candice was wearing, Milton frowned and said, “Wait a minute. I’ll change into a light-colored suit.”
Candice was rendered speechless.
Milton was even more troublesome than women when it came to going out. He was being unnecessarily meticulous about his outfit again.
Bettina was also astounded.
Did Milton hear what she just said? It was impossible. She and Candice had been talking under their breaths. Even if Milton stood next to them, he wouldn’t be able to hear them.
Milton changed into a beige suit and came out of Raul’s apartment again.
The suit he was wearing now gave him a gentler appearance compared to the navy blue one he had on before.
“Wow, he looks so nice. So eye-catching,” Bettina muttered, patting Candice on the shoulder and winking at her. At this moment, Candice and Milton looked very much like a couple wearing matching clothes. It turned out that Milton had chosen the beige suit to complement Candice’s light camel dress. They looked like a perfect match.
Looking at Bettina, Candice reminded her, “You’re drooling.”
“What? Really?” Bettina wiped her mouth and added, “Well, I’m starving. Can we go now?”
After saying that, she pushed Candice hard into Milton’s arms. Milton was quick to catch Candice and placed his hand on the small of her back. He led her into the elevator.
Bettina followed them in and winked at Milton, signaling that she would always have his back when it came to Candice.
Understanding Bettina’s meaning, Milton curled his lips into a smile.
Once steady, Candice shook Milton’s hand off her back. Then she turned and shot Bettina a death glare, silently warning her, “Don’t go too far, or I will be very, very angry.”
Bettina stuck out her tongue at her best friend in response, not caring at all about the silent threat.
There was a high-end Western restaurant nearby, just a five-minute walk from where Candice, Milton, and Bettina were.
It was a great place with a relaxing ambiance and stylish interiors, serving all kinds of luxurious dishes, including the ones Bettina had mentioned she wanted to eat.
To dine at the restaurant, reservations had to be made in advance. However, a distinguished guest like Milton was welcome anytime. The manager immediately arranged a private room for them.
