Chapter 781
Chapter 781:
“Here’s the situation. Yesterday morning, while operating this vehicle, you broke several traffic laws. We retrieved the car’s data through police resources, and we are aware of the full sequence of the accident. Firstly, my condolences for your accident. Secondly, it’s my duty to inform you that due to your multiple traffic violations, you must face the associated penalties. I attempted to reach you several times yesterday, but your phone was off. Hence, I’ve personally come to inform you today,” the officer explained, presenting Candice with a pile of traffic tickets.
Candice’s expression hardened. She hadn’t anticipated a visit from law enforcement. She figured they traced her due to the Blake family’s villa being her registered address when she got her phone number.
Before Candice could take the traffic tickets, Milton swiftly snatched them from her hands. He was quick.
At first, Milton glanced indifferently at the tickets, but as he read the words written on them, his eyes widened in astonishment. Filled with anger, he uttered each word with deliberate emphasis. “Excessive speeding! Ignoring three red lights! Crossing double solid lines! Blowing the horn in a forbidden zone! Illegally using the exclusive lane! Disregarding the direction of the steering lane! Venturing into an off-limits lane! Reversing on a one-way road!”
Taking a deep breath to calm down, Milton exclaimed, “Candice, in just ten minutes, you broke so many rules!”
His perception abruptly shifted. It was as if Candice hadn’t been driving a car, but rather a tank rampaging through the streets!
Milton’s voice thundered, harsh and strident, causing Candice to close one eye and shrink her neck, attempting to ignore his anger.
At that moment, the traffic officer interjected, “Based on the laws you broke, your driver’s license should be revoked. However, given that you were rushing to the hospital to save lives, after discussions and approval from the higher-ups, you’ve been granted a chance to retake the exam. Once you pass it, you can keep your driver’s license.”
The traffic officer glanced at Milton, assuming that a person of his stature would possess the means to handle the situation.

With a hint of persuasion, the officer said, “Of course, if you have other connections or know some people, you can also make a phone call. Perhaps an exception can be made.”
Instantly, Milton vetoed the suggestion, his response swift and decisive. “No need. Let her retake the exam!”
“Very well. My duty here is fulfilled. Miss Blake, please ensure you take the makeup exam promptly on the 8th of next month. Now, kindly surrender your driver’s license. It will be held at the traffic management department until you pass the test,” the traffic officer dutifully stated.
Reluctantly, Candice pouted as she took out her driver’s license and handed it over to the officer.
Taking possession of Candice’s license, the officer handed her a notice and other documents. He said, “Thank you for your cooperation. Farewell.” With that, the traffic officer turned on his heel and left.
