Chapter 575
Chapter 575:
“Yes. It’s true. Mr. Harman, you need to be careful,” Brooks warned. “Madilyn wouldn’t give up her dignity for no reason to cater to an old bastard. What if she…”
But before Brooks could finish, Greyson cut him off. “You think she’s out for revenge? How amusing.” His tone was dripping with sarcasm. “I’m not afraid of her. After all the lies she’s told me over the years, she deserves whatever happens to her.”
Brooks was not only Greyson’s confidant but also his high school classmate. They had always been on good terms. He knew Greyson well and understood his complex emotions.
“Mr. Harman, I understand how you feel, but you still need to be cautious. I will keep an eye on her.”
Greyson didn’t respond immediately, lost in thought. Finally, he spoke again. “There is one more thing. Once Rachel has received the money, she should be at ease for a while. We need to find someone to set up a shell company and hire a few individuals to simulate a busy workplace. We’ll make it appear as though fund investments in it are generating big returns, letting Rachel witness others making significant gains.”
“Mr. Harman, what exactly are you proposing?” Brooks interrupted, his confusion palpable.
“It’s quite simple, Brooks. We’ll attempt to lure Rachel in. Initially, we’ll encourage her to invest a portion of her money into the company, thereby providing her with some benefits. Once she has gained trust in the system, we’ll persuade her to invest all of her money in it. At this stage, we’ll dissolve the shell company overnight, leaving her with nothing.” A cold, unsettling smile crept over Greyson’s face.
“Got it. Mr. Harman, you want to take back the money.”
Brooks, the trusted aide, nodded in understanding, but before he could speak, Greyson interjected, his voice low and controlled.
“Not for money. All the money from her will be donated to charity directly.” The gravity of the statement hung heavy in the air.

“Okay, Mr. Harman. I’ll do it right away.”
Greyson’s hand rose to rub the tension that had gathered between his eyebrows.
He had built his empire from scratch and was no longer in need of money. He didn’t want Rachel to have a carefree life, not after what she had done.
He was confident that Rachel would take the bait. In the past, Rachel had been greedy and reckless, investing foolishly and nearly bankrupting the Harman family. But since Greyson had taken over, Rachel had been left with no chance to reclaim her lost power.
With the money now in Rachel’s hands, Greyson was confident that she would be unable to resist the temptation to invest and make more money quickly.
She would be easy prey for the trap he had set.
And for Rachel, losing everything was the only fitting end. She needed to pay the price for her past greed.
It was also Greyson’s way of seeking justice for Candice, the woman he had loved and lost.
