Chapter 759
Chapter 759:
Greyson always believed that her love for him was unwavering.
Yet, right from the beginning, it had been a misunderstanding.
Had it not been for that particular incident, had Candice discovered Milton before him, Greyson and Candice would have never crossed paths.
But Milton had been aware of this.
Therefore, Candice must have known as well.
Was this the reason for their unspoken understanding?
Dizziness overcame Greyson. He knew he would eventually lose her, for she never truly belonged to him. A lie would inevitably unravel.
Milton continued, “Have you ever considered why she chose Room 8308 for her wedding night? Wouldn’t 8308 have been a better choice?”
Hearing this, Greyson grew even more frustrated. He had never noticed this detail and had never thought of it before. It turned out that Candice wished to fulfill an adolescence dream. The man residing within her heart had always been the one present in the cold storage that fateful night. It was not him!
Then what was he to her? After a decade of shared existence, what did he truly mean to her?
He was just the person she thought he was.
Unconsciously, Greyson released his clenched fists, his lips turning pale. Milton regarded him with a cold gaze and uttered, “You are aware, aren’t you? You know that you were not the one by her side in the cold storage that night, yet you’ve kept it from her.”
Milton sneered and continued, “It aligns perfectly with your character. It’s your modus operandi. Greyson, I had underestimated your cunning. You have executed numerous deceits.”
“What do you mean?” Greyson inquired, his brow furrowing.

“Aren’t you aware of what I mean?” Milton sneered, “Did you genuinely believe that I would perpetually remain in the dark? That I wouldn’t uncover anything? You made me believe that Candice was carrying your child, attempting to sow discord between us, didn’t you?”
Upon hearing those words, Greyson was rendered motionless, as though struck by a bolt of lightning and rooted to the ground.
How could Milton be privy to this information?
“You need not deny it. Listen to this recording.” As he spoke, Milton retrieved his phone from his pocket. When he was transferred to the emergency room, the nurse had charged his phone.
In addition to handling the energy contract, Milton had undertaken another task in Denmark. He had even flown to America to fulfill it, which explained his two-day absence from video chatting with Candice. It was all part of the plan, meticulously executed.
