Chapter 775
Chapter 775:
Noticing her frozen stature, Milton prompted, “Don’t keep me waiting.”
Finding herself cornered, Candice reluctantly moved behind him, reaching to undo his shirt buttons. She peeled off the garment from his left side, briefly removed the sling from his right arm, supported his arm, and carefully removed the clothing on the right side before replacing the sling. “You’ve got control of your left hand. Take care of the rest.”
Milton’s physique was too striking for Candice, causing her to shy away, swiftly turning her back to him.
Milton, stealing a glance at the floor-length mirror, caught Candice’s reflection. She was blushing, her head lowered, her lips tightened, and she was playing absentmindedly with the hem of her clothes. It was a picture of utter shyness.
This scene amused Milton, so he decided not to trick her further. He proceeded to strip off the remainder of his clothing, stepped into the bathtub, and settled down gently.
Once he was seated, Candice turned back to assist, positioning his right arm outside the tub to prevent it from getting drenched. The abundance of frothy bubbles obscured his flawless physique from view, leaving nothing visible beneath the water’s surface.
Feeling somewhat relieved, Candice queried, “Shall I wash your hair?”
“Sounds good.” Milton relaxed back, shutting his eyes.
Candice wet his hair with water and applied shampoo. She tenderly massaged his scalp. The impact of the car collision was undoubtedly more severe for Milton, given he had veered the vehicle toward the passenger seat to protect her.
His exterior remained unchanging. But the subtle signs indicated to Candice his hidden discomfort.
Milton’s lack of appetite and his lack of attention to his phone were unusual. Furthermore, he had only processed a handful of documents. These signs suggested possible symptoms of dizziness and nausea.
Considering Milton had sustained injuries to keep her safe, Candice felt an inherent duty to care for him.

And so, she spent a while massaging his scalp.
Afterwards, she rinsed his hair with fresh water and towel-dried it. Her gentle massage seemed to bring Milton a sense of comfort, so he simply closed his eyes and savored it. He had been feeling a mild headache, but her delicate touch offered him much relief. The comforting warmth of the water eased him into a state of relaxation.
Having completed the hair washing, Candice whispered into his ear, “Are you able to manage the rest on your own? The heat is getting too much for me. I’d like to step out for some fresh air.”
Truthfully, it wasn’t the heat in the bathroom that was overwhelming her, but a rising heat within herself. Inevitably, she brushed her hand against his skin and couldn’t help but gaze upon his flawless physique. Her mind kept dwelling on what she had done in the cold storage the previous night. Even if she had been drunk, it would still be too embarrassing to act in such a manner.
Not only did she passionately kiss him, but she also uttered ambiguous words.
