“I’ll just take this. I said before that I don’t want his things,” Candice replied without looking up.
Bettina smirked.
Candice went back to the dressing room and changed back into her clothes.
She walked out and handed the shop assistant her card. “I’ll pay with this.”
“Are we done with shopping?” Bettina asked reluctantly.
Candice glanced at her watch and replied, “I’ve taken too many days off, and my work has piled up. I need to return to the firm to finish it.”
Previously, Candice had been working from home for some time because of her scandal. She didn’t come out until after the incident had been resolved.
“Hey, relax. I won’t deduct your salary anyway. Take however long you want to rest,” Bettina said casually. Just then, the shop assistant who had gone to pack Candice’s clothes came out with the credit card machine. Candice thought she needed to enter her password, but she was surprised as soon as she reached out her hand. The shop assistant bowed to her!
Her attitude was even more enthusiastic than before when she asked, “Are you Miss Candice Blake?”
“Yes.” Candice nodded subconsciously, still stunned.
The shop assistant continued with extreme politeness, “Miss Blake, you are a Supreme VIP of our mall. You are not required to pay for your purchases. Please, take whatever you need.”
“What? Why?” Candice stuttered in shock. She thought she had misheard the shop assistant and clarified, “I never registered for a membership here. You must have made a mistake. Will you please swipe my card? I’m in a rush.”
“Here’s the thing,” the shop assistant explained. “Your card is blocked. It can’t be swiped here.”
Candice didn’t understand. She took out another credit card and said, “Blocked? Here, try this one.”
“You don’t get it,” the shop assistant waved her hand and smiled respectfully. “All your cards are blocked in our system. None of them can be swiped in any of our establishments. You see, you’re a supreme VIP, which means you can shop for free in any of our 900 malls in Ploville, as well as in our thousands of large-scale supermarkets and electronics shops. You can also enjoy our catering services and stay in our five-star hotels and resorts for free. You don’t need to pay for anything.”

“Who’s your boss?” Bettina asked, playing a hunch.
The shop assistant replied with a smile, “The Western Union Mall is owned by the Royal Garden Corporation. Our big boss is Mr. Milton Lopez.”
Bettina muttered, “Yeah, that’s what I thought. I’m aware that the Royal Garden Corporation started from one small department store a hundred years ago, but I had no idea it owned the Western Union Mall.”
“Also, Miss Blake, your supreme VIP status covers air travel. You can fly for free with any of the three biggest airline companies in Ploville. All you need to do is book a ticket, and you’ll be all set.”
