Chapter 110

Chapter 110:
Milton unbuttoned his shirt and got straight to the point. “I know you don’t like Candice. Since you don’t want her, then please hand her over to me.”
Greyson scowled and questioned, “Huh? What was that? Are you sure you’re speaking to me?”
Milton put on a phony grin and sarcastically replied, “Your childhood sweetheart, Madilyn… aren’t you head over heels in love with her? You intend to marry her, right? I think you should get a divorce right away if your parents forced you into that marriage. Why keep it if you dislike Candice?”
“Haha! Seems like you looked into it already.” Greyson, with clenched teeth, suppressed his rage. “When it comes to Candice, how well-versed are you? How long have you known her? What kind of person does she seem to be to you?”
“Tell me, what type of person is she?” Milton asked insolently, crossing his arms across his chest.
No one would be happy with that.
Greyson balled his fists and responded, “Don’t be silly. Have you never seen how scheming she can be? And what does she want from you? Have you thought about that?”
As he heard it, Milton couldn’t help but crack a grin. “I’m sorry, but I can’t tell whether she’s scheming or not. All I can tell is that you’re shrewd. Plus, whatever it is that she wants from me, I’m happy to give it to her. I don’t care. Besides, she’s not a scheming person at all.”
Greyson was stunned.
Honestly, he was very stunned by what Milton had said. He had been obsessed with the events of three years ago for quite some time. Candice had tried to lure Madilyn away with five million dollars and had compelled him to marry her with a formula.
Yet, just now, he wasn’t sure that was the truth for a second.
He clenched his teeth. “Her parents died, and the Blake family’s firm went bankrupt. With such a history, is she still worth…”
Before he could finish speaking, Milton interjected. “Greyson, we weren’t friends in high school. I wouldn’t say I know you well. When you date someone, would you be concerned about her background? You have no right to decide her worth.”

To further establish his authority, Milton remarked, “That’s enough, Greyson. You’ve said enough already. But I can’t see any affection from you for her. Because you don’t like her, you don’t have to force things. With me, she’ll live the best of her days in the future.”
Having said that to Greyson, Milton had utterly irritated him, and it showed on his face.
“Milton, she is now my wife, for God’s sake!”
“So what?” Milton scoffed. “I got her first time, so she belongs to me!”
The “first time” he mentioned was that first kiss a decade ago, and the first sexual encounter on their wedding night. Candice was his by all standards!
Greyson’s normally expressionless face contorted with rage as he exclaimed, “Son of a bitch!”
A man couldn’t possibly be more offended than that.
