The day after the Blake family declared bankruptcy and the government took possession of their home, she had returned to find the diary—but it was missing. She hadn’t found a photo of her family, let alone her diary.
“Where did you get that?” Embarrassment overwhelmed her as she reached to take it from him.
Greyson put the diary away and asked, “Have you had a crush on me since junior high?”
Candice’s face paled. He had found out! She felt as if she had been stripped naked before him.
“Give it to me!” She clenched her jaw tightly.
“I’ll need an answer first. Tell me the truth: have you been in love with me for a whole decade?”
At first, Greyson hadn’t wanted to show her the diary.
In the past few days, he had been in contact with the law enforcement department that had filed for bankruptcy on behalf of the Blake Group and with those responsible for disposing of the Blake family’s belongings.
Among the items taken from the Blake family home were records and other documents of the Blake Group. No one had touched them in three years.
He brought all the documents back to his office, dusted them off, and organized them neatly.
He spent time poring over them, hoping to find data on Blake Group’s products.
That afternoon, to his utter amazement, Greyson found the diary.
He was obviously familiar with Candice’s handwriting style. He couldn’t believe the things she had written about him and how deeply she had loved him.
She had loved him since her second year of junior high, but he hadn’t known. That year, he was about to graduate from high school.
Afterward, they ran into each other fairly often in college. They knew each other but had never really been in contact.
It wasn’t until she was about to graduate from university that their parents arranged their marriage, and they started dating.

Then, on the day of her graduation, both of her parents were killed in a car accident.
He knew Candice liked him, but he thought it had only started three years ago.
He had no idea it had lasted a whole decade.
It had been ten years since she first developed feelings for him. Because of this, he felt a wide range of emotions.
“Greyson, please return the diary.” Candice paused and took a deep breath before continuing, “You were the object of my affection; I admit it. So what? I was very young and naive then. Don’t worry about what you’ve read. I don’t like you anymore! I’ll stop bothering you from now on because you want me to.”
She tried many times to get her diary back.
