Chapter 381
Chapter 381:
“Greyson’s ex-wife is a lawyer. If she had proof, she would have presented it by now.”
“She didn’t have any proof before, but now she does.”
“Yes. Greyson’s cousin is a total whore. She justly deserves to go to jail.”
“I’d like to see if Greyson will regret it.”
“His eyes and face already betray his feelings of remorse!”
“It’s quite unclear how their private conversation ended up on air. Who did that?”
“I have no idea. A brilliant strategy, nonetheless. They can’t really deny it now that we know they admitted everything.”
“Oh my gosh, I just learned some incredible information. There was once a big headline, but it was deleted. Mr. Lopez is said to be having an affair with a married woman. It seems Greyson’s ex-wife is that married woman.”
“Really? Is that so?”
“It must be. The post was taken down at that time, but I do recall Mr. Lopez’s affair with a married woman became a hot topic in the media as a result.”
“So, Mr. Lopez was wronged, you say?”
“I agree with you. Greyson has long since divorced. His ex-wife is no longer tied down. She just hasn’t publicly acknowledged their split yet.”
“In that case, I don’t think it’s a bad thing his ex-wife left him. She doesn’t need to waste any more time pining for him. She’s moved on to a better man. I believe Mr. Lopez is the most lovely guy in all of Ploville.”
“Hey, do you think Greyson’s ex-wife is also at the banquet today? Have you seen her? What does she look like? I’m dying to meet her!”
“I believe she is here. She must be the lady in the purple dress on the second floor. Just now, she glanced our way.”
“Who is she? How well do you know her?”
“I have no idea. But aren’t you telling me that since the very start, Greyson’s gaze has been fixed on the upper story? She’s alone on the upper level, standing close to the railing. She has to be his ex-wife, don’t you think?”

“Wow, she’s undeniably gorgeous and refined! What a stunning lady! I really feel bad for Greyson. He was so blind he couldn’t see what he had; he can only blame himself!”
The volume of their chitchat steadily increased.
Finally, Greyson’s patience ran out.
Without thinking twice, he headed up to the upper level.
Candice scowled, unsure of his intentions, as she watched Greyson make his way upstairs.
She was better off not being around him, especially in public.
With that in mind, she turned and walked away. But by the time she reached the end of the second-floor hallway, Greyson caught up with her. With one arm, he drew her into a quiet corner.
