Chapter 387
Chapter 387:
On the other end, Erica’s voice sounded empty and a little lost. “Oh, I see.”
Milton sensed nothing was wrong with his mother and quickly hung up, his car speeding down the road.
Meanwhile, at the other end of town,
Greyson’s expression twisted with anger as he forcefully threw Madilyn into Rachel, causing her to stumble backwards.
Rachel was taken aback by the violence in Greyson’s face.
“What’s wrong with you tonight, Greyson?”
Madilyn turned her head to see the redness under Greyson’s eyes, the bulging blue veins on his forehead, and the constant twitching of his face.
“Rey, what did I do wrong?” she asked, confused.
As far as she knew, she hadn’t done anything to provoke his rage tonight.
Madilyn looked around anxiously and asked, “Is it because of Candice? Did you see her? What did she say about me this time?”
Rachel supported Madilyn and scolded Greyson. “What’s wrong with you lately? Are you possessed? First, you moved out, then you want to buy the company for that bitch. And now you treat Maddy like this? What do you want to do? Bring that bitch back into our lives? Listen to me, I will never agree to that!”
Rachel was ready to risk everything. She already saw Candice as a huge threat.
As he watched the two women, Greyson felt like he was watching clowns performing in front of him.
“Do I need your permission to do anything? What can you do even if you don’t agree?” he sneered.
They must not have known their dirty deeds had been exposed. Their faces were as ugly as they could get.
Rachel was stunned. She never expected Greyson to throw questions back at her.
Greyson continued, “You don’t agree, so you set her up and tried to kick her out of the Harman family?”

Rachel struggled to find an answer, unsure what to say.
“It’s all because of Candice’s shamelessness—she fooled around with another man on your wedding night. What does that have to do with Aunt Rachel?” Madilyn spoke up for Rachel when she saw her struggling. “You know she’s having an affair with Milton.”
Madilyn discreetly pinched herself hard behind her back. Crocodile tears welled up in her eyes, making her act even more convincing.
But Greyson remained cold and unmoved by her display.
Greyson wondered why he hadn’t realized before that Madilyn’s tears and fragility were all fake. She had a cruel nature and was just acting to gain his sympathy.
“Rey, I know you’ve been under a lot of pressure lately. You’re in a bad mood. I won’t take your harsh words to heart. Please don’t believe what Candice said. She hurt me a lot… My heart really aches. I don’t know what she told you, but she just doesn’t want me to be in a better position. She doesn’t want us to be together. Today, I took the initiative to make peace with her. She agreed but stabbed me in the back. She really is shameless.”
