Chapter 498
Chapter 498:
Her office had significantly expanded in size and was now more spacious and luxurious. The space was elegant, adorned with various law books for easy reference.
A customized leather sofa sat at the center of the room, exuding a fashionable and magnificent aura.
Sitting on the sofa was Greyson, with two cups of coffee and a selection of desserts carefully prepared by a high-end restaurant in front of him.
Upon entering her office, Candice glanced at Greyson and remarked, “You’re quite well-informed. You managed to find the new address so quickly. It’s my first day here, did you know? Is there a spy from your end in Hope Law Firm?”
Greyson felt embarrassed by her unfriendly tone.
He quickly explained, “On the day you moved, Bettina posted about it on her Facebook wall. I’ve known for a while. As for it being your first day at work, I genuinely had no idea. I just wanted to see you, so I came.”
Candice smiled, finding the coincidence hard to believe. “What do you want to talk about? I’m swamped with work. There are a lot of materials I need to sort out.”
She took a seat on the sofa and picked up today’s newspaper, intending to read.
To her surprise, a prominent news article on the front page caught her attention.
After perusing the news, she smiled and remarked, “Congratulations. You’ve earned the title of the most promising young man in Ploville. It’s right there on the front page, bringing glory to the Harman family.” She shook the newspaper in her hand.
As expected, Greyson proved himself to be capable, unaffected by the incident at the ambassador’s wife’s birthday party, retaining his esteemed title. Even after Rachel’s divorce, the Harman family maintained a favorable reputation. After all, it was a family that valued its standing above all else.
Greyson furrowed his brow, detecting a hint of irony in her words.
Naturally, he could discern it.

“I have something important to discuss with you, Candice.” From his bag, he retrieved a stack of documents and handed them to her.
“At the moment, this evidence is sufficient to substantiate the claim that Benson and Grady leaked the biological formulas of the Blake Group. Through my analysis and comparison of the formulas, I deduced this information. These findings show that the two conspired to make the Blake Group suspected of plagiarizing Denm’s technology. This scheme ultimately led to the Blake Group’s financial downfall and subsequent acquisition at a low price. Under their ownership, it was rebranded as Centilength Biotech.”
Greyson rose from his seat and sat beside Candice, opening the materials to show her.
“I’ve made some notes. If the truth is exposed now, Centilength Biotech will go bankrupt in less than a month. I can personally acquire it, rename it the Blake Group, and restore its reputation. I’ll take care of everything for you. Previously, you mentioned submitting the evidence altogether when you file a lawsuit. However, you haven’t taken any action recently. What are you waiting for?”
