Chapter 516
Chapter 516:
Candice and Greyson, those bastards!
The pain she had endured today demanded repayment. She vowed to seek revenge against them.
She would make them feel the pain and remorse for what had happened to her today.
Candice! Everything she had hoped to achieve was shattered because of her. She wished for Candice’s downfall, wanting her to lose everything and suffer a fate worse than her own.
And since Greyson had been so merciless to her, any love she once had for him was gone. She thirsted for revenge, wanting to make him suffer a torturous existence. She wished him eternal damnation.
The sun was rising, painting the sky red.
Madilyn rose from the ground, her phone still by her side. With a grimy finger, she dialed a number.
Upon connection, a sinister male voice said, “What? You’re calling me at dawn. Have you finally made up your mind? Are you ready to accept my terms?”
Madilyn’s eyes burned with anger. Through gritted teeth, she said, “Yes. I agree to become that old man’s mistress. But I have one condition.”
“Very well, proceed.” The man’s voice on the other end was lazy and wicked.
“I want to become the leading dancer of the Black Swan Ballet.” A fierce determination flickered in Madilyn’s eyes. She longed to return to the stage, to bask in glory and wealth. She craved everything that rightfully belonged to her.
“It’s a deal!”
Then he abruptly ended the call.
In the chilly breeze, Madilyn considered crushing her phone’s screen.
She had initially declined because of rumors about the old man’s peculiarities.
But now, after what Greyson and Candice had done, she had no choice. As long as she lived, they would not enjoy a good life. Just wait and see!

The following day, Candice arrived early at the courthouse to submit supplementary materials. Afterwards, she returned to the law office and handed over many unfinished cases to Mona.
Candice sought Milton’s consent via WhatsApp to have Mona handle those cases. As a lawyer, obtaining the client’s approval was necessary.
Milton replied with a simple “Okay.”
The trial of an overseas case was extended. As for Milton’s human rights lawsuit, it had already entered the regular scheduling process and did not require immediate attention.
Consequently, Candice was able to concentrate on the acquisition case and the legal aid case concerning Corless.
Candice and Mona discussed the details in the office, and time passed quickly until it was almost noon.
