Chapter 526
Chapter 526:
Sigrid followed Erica’s message and arrived at the restaurant.
Having been away from Ploville for many years, she wasn’t very familiar with the place.
She removed her shoes at the entrance, and two waiters in bright-colored dresses opened the door to welcome her. The interior was exquisitely decorated, with displays that revealed an exotic charm.
Erica had already arrived. She sat cross-legged on the cushion and waved at Sigrid, signaling for her to join.
“Come on in,” she said with a smile.
Sigrid bowed politely to Erica and greeted her, “Nice to meet you, Mrs. Lopez.”
She took a seat opposite Erica. Her posture was elegant and noble, and her behavior reflected her cultured, aristocratic background.
She wanted to display her perfection to Erica.
Their families had been on good terms for generations, and her mother had a good relationship with Erica. However, their families had only been in contact when Sigrid was young. After the Olson family moved to another country, she had only seen Erica a few times.
This time, she had the opportunity to return to Ploville as the Royal Garden Corporation’s creative director because her mother recommended her to Erica.
This marked the second time she had seen Erica since her return from abroad.
She made an effort to dress up, wearing a formal black dress with a ruffled edge. The design matched her figure perfectly, making her appear dignified and elegant.
On the contrary, Erica was dressed very casually in a loose camel sweater paired with trousers of the same color. She looked amiable and approachable.
Sigrid regretted choosing an outfit that looked too formal, as their styles were too contrasting. She had made a mistake. She was too nervous to consider that Erica might have just wanted a relaxing lunch.
Erica waved to the waiter and asked him to serve the dishes.

“Sigrid, your mother took great care of me in the past. Now, it’s my turn to take care of you. I heard that you’re staying in a hotel. Do you need me to find a house or apartment for you?” Erica asked gently.
Sigrid smiled and declined, “No, thank you, Mrs. Lopez. It’s more convenient to live in a hotel. I can call the staff whenever I need something, and someone will clean my room every day.”
In fact, she thought it wouldn’t be long before she was in a steady relationship with Milton. It would then be natural for her to move in with him. The hotel was just temporary accommodation.
Erica didn’t press the matter. “Okay, as long as you feel comfortable living there. Sigrid, how long are you planning to work in Ploville this time?”
Sigrid paused. Erica’s question felt odd. Wasn’t Erica sharing her sentiments?
She didn’t plan on leaving Ploville now that she was back.
She would be wherever Milton was.
Just then, two waiters entered and served the dishes.
