Chapter 561
Chapter 561:
Despite being far away, Sigrid could sense his nervousness, anxiety, and affection. Witnessing such a scene caused her deep pain.
Suddenly, she realized that she might not have truly known the real Milton all these years. All her efforts seemed to have been in vain.
She was far from reconciled with the situation.
As she scanned the area, she noticed a Maybach parked nearby. A handsome man stepped out of the car and quickly made his way toward Candice. Sigrid could tell that he wasn’t an ordinary person, and he had a special connection to Candice.
After a while, she saw the man heading back to his car and retrieving a medicine box.
Quickly jotting down the man’s license plate number, Sigrid forwarded it to a specialist who excelled in investigating confidential information.
Within minutes, she received a message on her phone with the requested details.
As she scanned the report, her expression grew serious. It revealed that the man was Greyson Harman, the CEO of Harman Group and the founder of their biological technology division. He was also the director of Harmony Hospital and a graduate of Ploville University. Furthermore, he was divorced. His ex-wife was none other than Candice.
Sigrid understood everything now.
She sneered at the thought of their complicated relationship.
Having just returned to Ploville, Sigrid was unaware of the events that had taken place prior to her arrival. There seemed to be many interesting things that she had yet to discover.
Learning that Candice was divorced and that Greyson was her ex-husband left Sigrid questioning how such a woman deserved Milton’s love. The whole situation seemed ridiculous.
At that moment, she spotted Milton picking up Candice not far away. They crossed the pedestrian crossing and headed toward Candice’s home. Greyson seemed to have used something to control Candice’s condition, and she appeared to be fine now.

Sigrid rested her arms on the steering wheel and observed as Greyson caught up with Milton, and the two of them disappeared behind a fence.
Her expression grew darker.
Milton had gone to Candice’s villa, and Greyson had followed behind them.
Sigrid had hoped that Candice’s illness would have a different outcome, but it seemed to have only evoked pity from Milton toward her.
Sigrid seethed with anger at the situation, but a playful smile crept across her face.
If Greyson was so concerned about Candice’s well-being, despite her betrayal and attraction to Milton, then he likely would not be satisfied with the current state of affairs.
An enemy’s enemy is a friend, after all.
They could cooperate in the future.
With a sneer, Sigrid leaned back against the seat.
As darkness descended and the last remaining light faded from the sky, it became increasingly difficult to see inside the car.
