Chapter 568
Chapter 568:
Both of them looked at each other simultaneously.
They didn’t exchange any words. They both understood Candice’s lifestyle habits.
In the morning, Milton used the ingredients to cook porridge and pancakes for Candice. As he approached her bedroom with breakfast, he heard her fall in the bathroom.
He was startled, quickly setting down the breakfast and rushing into the bathroom.
He saw Candice lying on the floor with no covering, only a large bath towel beneath her.
Candice hadn’t fainted, but her whole body felt sore and weak. When she saw Milton rush in, her cheeks instantly turned red, and she tried to pull the towel to cover herself.
She didn’t expect that he would hold her in his arms the next moment.
Feeling embarrassed and shy, she exclaimed, “Let go of me. Get out!” She crossed her arms over her chest, unsure of how to cover herself.
Milton stared at her in silence. “I’ve seen your body before. We’ve been intimate several times. Can’t you get used to it?”
Candice wished she could hide her face. How could she ever get used to it?
Milton didn’t say anything else and simply carried her to the bed.
The moment she touched the soft bed sheet, Candice immediately curled up under the quilt, covering herself.
“Why are you still here?” she asked unhappily.
“What would you do if I left and you fainted in the bathroom?” Milton turned around, fetched the breakfast, and placed it on her bedside table.
“I didn’t faint. I simply slipped because the floor was too wet,” she stubbornly retorted.
She realized that Milton had prepared the breakfast, although she wasn’t sure where he had found the ingredients. It didn’t seem like store-bought food.

“Have something to eat. You must be hungry.” Milton handed a bowl of porridge to Candice.
The aroma of fresh beef, colorful vegetables, carrot chips, and fragrant purple perilla made Candice’s mouth water. She was truly famished and couldn’t resist the temptation of the food. As she thought back to how she met Milton and the progression of their relationship, she realized that it was his continuous offering of delicious food that made her develop feelings for him.
She felt frustrated with herself.
“I’m not hungry. Take it and eat it yourself,” she said, trying to push him away.
Milton was taken aback by her response. Why was she upset again? Sometimes understanding her thoughts was truly challenging.
“If you won’t eat, should I feed you with my mouth?” he teased, knowing that usually, at this point, he would habitually resort to oppressive and forceful methods towards her.
Candice was left speechless.
