Chapter 720
Chapter 720:
After a moment’s pause, Candice feigned a haughty tone over the phone. “It’s none of your concern, Milton Lopez. Your reign over me has ended! I won’t disclose my location. I’m certain you’re yet to take off. Just sit tight and await the spectacle. I am surely going to…” She was cut off mid-sentence.
Milton smiled cunningly. “Apologies for the inconvenience, but I’ve already reached home. I’ve even unpacked my bags. I’m on my way to see you. Just hold your breath and prepare for what I’m about to do next.”
A prolonged “No!” echoed from the other end.
Right after that, a sudden beep resonated, followed by an abrupt disconnection as the phone call was abruptly ended.
Seemingly, Candice was so petrified that she abruptly ended the call.
Milton gazed at his phone in silence, his expression a blend of astonishment and amusement. He shook his head, wearing a faint smile. This woman possessed the audacity to raise her voice at him, but would she have the courage to face the repercussions that lay ahead? The moment she learned of his return, she swiftly ended the call, leaving it abruptly disconnected. She was incredibly adorable.
However, despite her charm, she dared indulge in drinking. She couldn’t escape the consequences that awaited her actions!
Milton dialed Bettina’s number, awaiting her response. After a while, Bettina finally picked up, her voice filled with courtesy.
“Mr. Lopez, how may I assist you?”
“Where are you indulging in your dinner?” he asked her.
“I am presently at Vanilla Taste. It’s located at the intersection of Central City Road and Hillston Road. But our meal is apparently over, and we are going to throw a karaoke party.”
“How could you possibly take her to such a noisy party?” Milton’s voice immediately grew cold.
“Cool down, Mr. Lopez. Candy didn’t accompany us. She opted to hail a cab and head home, wary of the late hours. We are embarking on an all-night escapade!” Bettina explained, her words accompanied by a smile.

“Very well,” Milton said and abruptly ended the call.
A slight curl graced the corners of his mouth, his satisfaction evident. This was more in line with his expectations. He knew all too well that she wouldn’t dare spend the night outside.
Consulting the map, Milton discovered that the Korean restaurant was located not far from the Blake family’s villa. Determined to personally get Candice, he resolved to drive there himself.
He dialed Candice’s number once again in a bid to urge her to remain at her current location and wait for him.
However, she did not answer the call.
On the other side, Candice, standing in the alley behind the Korean restaurant, prepared to hail a taxi from the main road.
The chilly late autumn wind darted back and forth, brushing against her face and awakening her muddled consciousness.
