Chapter 725
Chapter 725:
As he pressed down hard on the accelerator, his anxiety caused his back to become drenched in sweat. His utmost concern revolved around her well-being and safety.
Every second mattered, and he was determined to outpace time itself.
A sudden revelation hit him as he heard the offender accusing Candice of causing havoc in other people’s lives. The culprit was none other than Corless’ younger sister. The only person she had crossed paths with recently was Cathy, apart from Corless.
Candice’s act of assisting him in acquiring Warren Building Materials had gotten her spiraled into this unfortunate event. He had underestimated the situation, believing the Warren family issue had been resolved, failing to anticipate Cathy’s vengeful nature.
A loud bang resonated from the call, followed by a cacophony of noises.
Between the discordant sounds, he discerned the gangster’s angry accusation. “Bitch, you’re on a call!” Subsequently, the call went dead.
His worries escalated. Damn it! The gangster had discovered her secret phone conversation.
A surge of electrifying fear coursed through his body, causing tremors and rendering his mind blank.
His destination was in sight. The rear alley of the Korean restaurant was merely a few feet away.
As he neared the dimly lit logistics storage area, he leaped from the vehicle, plunging into the eerie silence of the storage area.
Frantically, he prowled the vast storage area, occasionally halting to take in his surroundings. The sheer scale made it hard to discern anything clearly. He roamed without direction, compelled to find her before the gangster did.
Out of nowhere, the sound of footsteps and a bellowing reached his ears. “Get out!”
Milton was quick to track down the source of the noise. The meeting was inevitable. Milton came face to face with the gangster.
Your escape begins with
“What’s your business here? Who gave you the audacity to meddle in my affairs?” The flicker of a silver light caught his attention as the gangster swung a razor-sharp knife towards Milton.
With poor visibility, Milton was forced to rely on the subtle shifts in the air to anticipate the strike. He sidestepped the attack, his hand shooting out to latch onto the gangster’s wrist with swift precision.
His objective wasn’t to engage in a brawl, but to neutralize the threat as quickly as possible.
With a click, he shattered the mobster’s wrist, catching him off-guard.
As the gangster hollered in pain, the knife slipped from his grip. Despite being professionally trained, the gangster was no match for Milton’s skill.
With a swift kick, Milton sent the knife spinning into the obscurity. He delivered a brutal kick to the gangster’s gut, effortlessly dislocated his other arm, and landed a powerful chop to the back of his neck.
