Chapter 771
Chapter 771:
Candice surveyed the empty room with surprise, realizing that Milton had gotten up earlier than her. She had slept deeply and unconsciously for an extended period. But as she stretched and moved, she noticed she felt well and no longer had the dizziness that had plagued her earlier.
Venturing out of the room, Candice entered the living room, only to find Milton seated in the dining area.
The table was adorned with an array of food, meticulously prepared by an exclusive five-star chef. Over thirty dishes were presented, each served in small portions, exquisitely crafted and teeming with nourishment.
Milton was having dinner slowly.
Candice’s eyes widened in disbelief. Milton was deftly wielding his fork with his left hand! He appeared to possess remarkable dexterity. Candice stood there, dumbfounded and speechless. Why, then, had he asked for her help with feeding him? He clearly had mastery over his left hand.
Milton glanced up and noticed Candice’s presence. He gestured toward a box on the table.
“Are you hungry? Sit down and join me. That box contains your new phone. Your original SIM card has been inserted into it.”
“Okay,” Candice replied, taking a seat at the table. Truth be told, she could eat a horse right then!
Earlier in the day, she hadn’t felt hungry. Davion had mentioned that they had already consumed liquid nourishment in the morning, and refraining from eating for a few hours would lighten the burden on their organs.
After all, their bodies had endured a jolting ordeal.
The evening fare primarily consisted of easily digestible dishes.
Candice marveled at the unfamiliar phone in her hand, a device unlike any she had ever encountered. It was the latest creation from the Royal Garden Corporation, a product yet to be released. The lightweight and ergonomic design of the lid astounded her, and the screen seemed to stretch infinitely. The intelligence and innovation of its design left her speechless.

“I’ve already had the technical department seamlessly transfer all your messages, emails, and chat records from your previous phone to this one. Your work won’t be disrupted. Please check to ensure nothing is missing.”
“Okay.”
Candice quickly scanned the phone’s contents. After a brief perusal, she confirmed, “Everything appears to be in order.”
During dinner, Candice casually went through her latest emails, promptly replying to several work-related ones. She had no intention of causing any delays. As she ate her meal, she continued to reply to more messages.
When she raised her head, she noticed Milton’s eyes fixed on her. He had already finished eating and set his fork aside. Candice smiled and offered, “Allow me to tidy up.”
