Chapter 774
Chapter 774:
Milton, although dubious, instructed her, “Ensure the water isn’t too hot.” “Understood.” She couldn’t help but pout.
“Also, fetch my navy blue silk pajamas from the second drawer in my room,” Milton added.
“Alright.”
In the bathroom, Candice adjusted the smart temperature control system, setting the water for Milton’s bath. Once the temperature was adjusted, the bathtub was filled with a gentle stream of warm water.
Candice casually set aside the shower gel and shampoo that Milton typically used. She also arranged a bath towel, a non-slip carpet, and other essentials.
Then she retrieved the specified pajamas, neatly arranging them in the bathroom. She couldn’t help but think how particular this man was. With everything set, she returned to the living room.
Milton pointed towards a table and reminded her, “You haven’t taken the medication Dr. Pierce prescribed. Take it now.”
Candice was surprised. Milton had remembered something she had completely forgotten. Because she hadn’t felt unwell, she had forgotten to take the pills.
“Okay.” She took two pills from the bottle and swallowed them with warm water.
Afterward, she looked around the living room, feeling a bit strange. Milton’s belongings seemed to have slowly encroached upon her space. The number of his items appeared to have grown since the morning.
Probably it was because Jarrod had brought more of Milton’s things over. A subtle twitch appeared at the corners of Candice’s mouth.
She cast a quick glance at the composed man beside her. According to Milton’s perspective, the word “guest” should not exist, and he should remain unaware of inconveniencing others. Her home seemed more like his. As the homeowner, Candice felt somewhat wronged.

A few moments later, the water in the bathroom was ready. Milton got up from the sofa and headed to the bathroom. The bathtub was filled, the heater was on, and a mist filled the bathroom. In the bathtub, a bath sponge created a sea of white bubbles.
Milton looked at it and frowned. “Why did you put the bubble sponge in the water?”
Candice, a bit defensive, responded, “You didn’t mention not wanting it.” In reality, she had intentionally included the bubble sponge to create a barrier of bubbles to veil most of his unclothed body, in order to avoid any awkward situations later.
Despite his distaste for the bubbles, Milton didn’t object. He extended his left arm and said, “Help me take off my clothes.”
A rose-colored hue spread across Candice’s cheeks. The very thought of doing such an act left her in disbelief. Yet Milton was insistent on refusing to let others do it.
