Chapter 805
Chapter 808:
Candice started the car and hit the gas.
On their way back, Candice carefully maneuvered the sports car, her hands gripping the steering wheel with caution. Milton, sitting beside her, occasionally assisted in adjusting the wheel, ensuring she didn’t veer too close to the edge of the road.
The heavy traffic weighed on them as the end of the workday approached. Candice felt her nerves building up, a thin layer of sweat forming on her back. Despite that she often got a ride, this was her first time venturing onto the road alone. Unbeknownst to her, the driving experience triggered her PTSD, something she had completely forgotten about.
As they journeyed, Milton’s attention was diverted by a ringing phone.
It was a call from one of the senior executives of the Royal Garden Corporation, informing him of an emergency meeting scheduled for that night.
Ending the call, he stole a glance at Candice, who remained focused on the road ahead. Her expression appeared normal, her breathing steady. A faint smile crept onto Milton’s face.
“I’ll find time to take you for more driving practice before your exam next month,” he reassured her.
“Okay.” Candice didn’t object. Overcoming her psychological barrier would undoubtedly make her life more convenient, sparing her from relying on taxis or the subway for transportation.
“Turn left here. Remember to use the turn signal first,” Milton instructed, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
“Okay,” Candice obeyed, following his guidance.
“At the second intersection, make a right turn,” Milton directed, his tone filled with helplessness. “We’re currently heading east, so why are you driving in the left lane? You’re going the wrong way. Turn around at the next intersection. It seems you’re not familiar with the route, unable to discern the correct direction.”

Candice was left speechless, unable to defend herself.
Finally, they arrived at the subsidiary building of the Royal Garden Corporation. Candice let out a relieved sigh as she parked the car. Her first day of driving practice had come to a successful end.
“Park the car in the garage first. For now, don’t drive it home,” Milton advised cautiously. “You need to drive only in my presence for now. You can drive alone after you pass the test.”
In a hushed voice, Candice expressed her hesitation.
“I can’t take this car. It’s too expensive. I can buy a sedan for myself…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Milton’s cold gaze sent shivers down her spine.
Candice opened her mouth but dared not utter another word.
Reluctantly, she maneuvered the Lamborghini sports car into the basement of the Royal Garden Corporation’s subsidiary building. To her surprise, a specially prepared garage awaited her.
